Piggers glad yesterday went ok, hope mog settles soon. How is DD getting on being a Mum of 2?

Her OH has just gone back to work on Sunday so she is like a fish out of water at the moment trying to find a routine.. it seems to be breakfast when things are difficult but she is realising that even though it may sound like it the baby will not explode from 5 minutes crying while she gets cereal for Spam... and also that it is ok to let one wait while dealing with the other.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Honey_Bear wrote: »Can't just read and run - huge (((hugs))) Mrs MoneyPenny. Those days, where absolutely everything that can go wrong, does, are the pits. I hope today brings a calmer, quieter, gentler vibe. Your mother-in-law is a very lucky lady to have someone so close by her.
What HB said - hugs Mrs M-P x0 -
MrsMP Hugs, and sending supportive wishes to you and MIL.
Very chilly but brighter here. Had a little sleep in as only day DD doesn't go anywhere for 8.30! The online shop has arrived, and I've done a load of washing, spinning as I type. I need to buy some stewing steak, to make a casserole ready for tomorrow. We are doing a stall at a Christmas fair, and so want a dinner that cooks itself.
No spare room here, but quite a lot of little jobs that can be done, so I think I'll do a bit of flying in each room. I'm very pleased that I have completed all the things on my own list, except for listing the Christmas presents, and seeing what I have left to buy. That's more fun than work, so will save for this afternoon. :cool:It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Mrs MP big hugs and support sweetie, I could relay a tale or two of the mix ups my friend has had, they lost her huge file of notes for months on end an only when she wrote a letter of complaint to the top bod did they turn up.
Saw friend last night and she is quite well although the op may have partially failed so possibly more surgery - the ward she has been moved to closes on Saturday afternoons until Monday mornings so she may come home for a few days (not good with her home situation).
Pilates done
Lidl done
WM has just finished so I'll get that on the airer and then I'm doing an hour's flying - I really want to get the list finished this week. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
(((Hugs)) to you and your m-i-l, mrs-mp. It is more than horrid and absolutely unacceptable when people are treated like that.
Earlier today I was reading this BBC news article which highlights the enormous difference the support of a relative or friend at hospital appointments makes to cancer patients in particular.
Well, the morning has gone and I have not achieved a great deal. I took my 5-year-old wedding dress (a rather lovely flimsy J@cques V€rt black, red and gold creation) round to a friend who is a seamstress, and she is going to put darts in the neckline and take in the sides for me so that I can wear it again now that I am 5 dress sizes smaller. After the fitting she produced coffee, then fruit, and we just sat and chatted for an hour and a half - so I've done one item on today's list three times over
I have ordered a few more presents from the Rainforest online shop and planned a trip to the garden centre on Monday to pick up a few bargains with their discount vouchers. The sun has now come out and DH is outside working on his railway again
I need to do more printing and laminating, and a bit of machine sewing. I really must get this box in the post tomorrow. I think I said that last week too, but it's fast becoming a cane toad
The parcel that I was expecting yesterday still hasn't arrived
Hope your paws are better today, LW.
Plenty of spoons and sticks available here; somebody (from north of the border, if I remember rightly?) also asked for a wet fish if necessary - I've got one ready in the fridge.
Lunch time already!
Hope everyone has a good or at least better day x0 -
