katiecat Tonsillitis is horrid, my DD had very bad bout some years ago. Sending you get well soon vibes. Can you treat yourself to something lovely just for you when you feel better?
Embb Same wishes for your DD.
Grey and cold here, delivered DD to preschool, then unable to get motivated to do anything until after coffee and chat with DS1. I have since put in load of washing, made phone calls, filled in some forms, and made roast squash soup. We had some for lunch, delicious! Need to drop DD to uni this afternoon, then run the vacuum around upstairs. I may do some decluttering in bedroom, or some knitting. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
PM's on here /messages on facebook have gone out so hopefully Secret Santa is sorted.
Many thanks to all who decided to take part.
Serena - I actually don't put my name in when I organise it. doesn't seem right somehow. But I look forward to hearing about the presents that people have received...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Right paw has now had steroid injection - it wasn't as easy as the one in the left paw, he had trouble getting the needle just right, but we got there eventually; I'm to go back to see Consultant in a couple of months (he'll get his secretary to write to me). Meantime I have an appointment with Physio-terrorist next Wednesday evening.
I'm supposed to rest the paw for several hours while the injection sort of settles in, so got to try and do everything one-handed. Should be fun doing dins, then.
I don't know if I said before, but the Physio-terrorist reckons I shouldn't be pushing myself past the pain, which is what I usually do - but if I don't, how the heck am I supposed to get my tasks done??
On the dogs front, Daisy has gone home, and Dave has arrived. We've been for walkies - it was Dog Central over the field, loads of dog-walkers out  - and he's now doing his level best to occupy a whole 3-seater sofa.:D He's a Yorkie, btw.:D
GWS wishes for peeps with poorly tonsils; not pleasant, I know.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

This afternoon I have
- sent DH out to U3A

- succeeded in installing my new printer
- eaten a very small piece of fruit loaf to celebrateand drunk copious amounts of tea and coffee
- printed out the first set of cards: lots more still to be done before tea...
- cleared some of the piles of paper off my desk and the floor
- ordered a 40 cm horse chestnut sapling for DGD2 to plant in their field near her big sister's, which after 3 years is now well over a metre tall
