  • Hello all

Traditional flying hasn't happened but went to sainsbugs in my lunch hour (their clothing is 25% off until Monday). Got all the family Christmas cards, my brother & sis-in-law presents and part of my grandparents hamper.

Cards have been written, those that need posting have been stamped. 2 friends have December birthdays, so I have their cards ready to send.

I've ordered part of my mum's present tonight, but I'm stumped on what to get my step-dad.

    Goodnight all

Yeah.. what do you get a stepdad.. mine goes out and buys anything he wants.. he cant drink much any more eats far too many sweets already so what do you get him?

My mother I have a hedgehog planter with lavender for her yard.. I was going to do hyacinths but they would hurt her dogs so I can't. I have her a lap table for her laptop, a dangly spiral thing with crystal balls in for the yard.. she likes to sit out there in the summer. I am trying to find time to knit her a scarf but time is elusive. I have her some Sudoku books too.

Not a very productive day today. Got presents down from the loft and wrapped about 7 thus afternoon. Picked up ds1 from school, heard him read and then took him swimming. Then endured an hour and a half round trip to pick ds2 from nursery. Got in and then 10 mins later was walking out the door. Finally got back at 8.15. Then gadgets to cook dinner. So house is a complete tip and feeling like a complete failure at the moment. I'm finding really hard to prioritise the following
    Writing cards
    Wrapping presents
    Buying presents
    Washing
    Cleaning
    Tidying.

I seem to be doing a little bit of envy thing so nothing is getting done!

Here is my update of my list...

  • apologies fro my disappearance from the thread. DD2 ended up at the GP on Tuesday with severe tonsillitis/quinsy. Thankfully a/bs have kicked in, but it has been stressful.

I am about to sit down and send out the secret santa details. Fingers crossed I won't be disturbed...
