 Morning all
Glad to hear that your OH is doing well, effy.
GWS vibes to your DD, CY, and coping vibes to you.
Frizzle, we all have days like that. Some of us have them almost every day
Sorry I'm nowhere near Warrington, pigpen.
Narco, I hope you weren't trying to emulate me yesterday as I didn't even bother to write a list and had a *!?&%* of a day. Had a dreadful night with brain in top gear and DH tossing and turning as he coughed. Rang my friend at 9.10 - she had phoned the hospital as directed and been told that they were trying to find her a bed and would ring her back. Took DH to local clinic for his Warfarin testing and left him to make his own way home, went to my friend's and sat staring at the phone and willing it to ring. Fortunately it did, and fortunately they had found her a bed, so we dashed off to hospital and I stayed with her until they wheeled her down to xray. Then home to make a warming dhal soup with lots of ginger and tikka masala - after which I tried to work but fell asleep instead. Meanwhile DH (who had slept all morning on his return from clinic) was out in the cold, working on his railway. I finally woke up at 5.30 pm to the sound of my mobile ringing: it was the specialist nurse to say that my friend would be ready to come home at about 7.00 but was waiting for new medication from the pharmacy. So a meal of pasta and stirfry was hurriedly made and scoffed, and I was ready to collect my friend when she finally rang at 7.45. Picked her up at 8.15, got back with her to the hospital car park pay station within 15 minutes, so for once I didn't have to pay (it made up for the fiver in the morning), and she was home by 8.50. Thank you for all your posivibes. The procedure was a great success - lots of fluid drained off, and pain free this time, with a different doctor - so she is feeling a great deal better
After that, all I was capable of doing was to watch The Apprentice and fall back into bed.
Today is a new day but is not starting well as I am still having trouble with my colour printer which is still not doing colour - or even black. DH has a wireless printer downstairs so I am hoping to be able to connect to that, if mine won't play ball today. Otherwise I shall be off out to get a new one - my brain can't cope with any more stress.
So today's list looks like this:
- Work a lot
- Fly a bit
Hopefully I can manage that.
A Sold sign has gone up on the house next door, which has been empty ever since we moved in here 18 months ago. Hope that is a good omen.
(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks where needed, coping vibes to pigpen and safe driving vibes to your OH x0 -
Right. I have decided to be solution focused.
I always feel better when my kitchen is tidy and clean so I have cleared and cleaned the work tops and cleaned the sink. I have stripped our bed and it is in the washing machine.
This is my plan.....
An hour at home trying to Declutter and knock as many jobs off as possible. When washing is done, hang up to dry and put next load in. Then pick up parcels, do my Christmas shopping, pop into see mum (co-inciding with lunch!!!) then weekly food shopping on way home. This may leave me another hour of jobs before the school run!
So anyone joining me 9.30-10.30???Grocery challenge-

Not caught up, gonna do a lot of my housework today but wont take more than an hour. Be back later xx0 -
Oooh, I'm in Frizzle. I've been AWOL since the middle of last week - stinking cold, too much paid work on my plate. Now I'm feeling a bit better (but still snuffly) and really need to get on top of things. The weekend and next week are packed!
So - in the next hour, I will declutter and tidy the hall and downstairs loo, dust and hoover, and mop the floors. Then I will have another cuppa. See you at 10:30!0 -
Running to catch up with you, Frizzle and Sushistar.......0

Morning!
Bakeathon happening here! I have 2 cakes, 10 muffins (none of which I've turned out yet, anti-stick vibes please!), Oreo lollies cemented together and a bunch of mini candy canes and marshmallows to assemble.
I, giving the garden vac a miss - too damp - but may put the outside lights up and need to pop to WHSmith to pick up a book I ordered.
Weather dependant we may hop on the train into L33ds to see the lights and visit the Tr!nity Centre after school.
DD is nattering me about putting the Xmas tree up. Not really fair on DS but I suppose we could assemble it and get it ready.
Healing vibes for your DD, CY xxxBossymoo
