Deco.. I've got him a cross-cut shredder and will fill it with sweets and a woolly hat and smellies and maybe a book or DVD or CD.. I'm so boring haha

OH got there and back safely. I now have an extremely full middle room.. ie NO floor at all!! a very full front room... as in, very little floor and a car boot full and a very unhappy big fat cat :( I'm hoping he gets a little happier over the next few days. He popped to Tesco for a sandwich on the way back and got me 2 bunches of flowers, a teeny tiny Christmas trees and slightly bigger lit and decorated tree.. sometimes I think he might love me after all.. <3

For Christmas I want... a new fish tank! Ours is almost deceased and about to electrocute my fish!

    Morning all

Piggers glad yesterday went ok, hope mog settles soon. How is DD getting on being a Mum of 2?

DW emptied. Just having a cuppa. I'll sort out some washing in a minute and have early pilates before anymore flying.

Kaz hugs, things like that really hit home, thinking of the family at such a sad time.

    Morning everyone.

Finished the living room yesterday and did the dailies.

Had appointment at the docs and asked about the pneumonia jab which he gave me at the same time as I fit the criteria.

Lunch and shopping with DD after that then my shift in A&E.

At voluntary job all day today then DDs for tea.

    Hugs,spoons and sticks where needed.

    Good Morning Everyone

A bit brighter here today, but having 10 minutes in front of the sad lamp before venturing out.

Tomorrow we are at a Motown Night so having a pamper morning, some waxing, pedicure and then hair highlighted and cut.

Once all done, then coming home to fly, but it will be a more glamorous fly, not the usual sloppy tracksuit bottoms and top

I already have washing in the machine, dry stuff folded and put away, DW on as DH forgot last night, prepared the Pigs in Blankets for Christmas dinner and they are now in the freezer on a tray so I can pack them separately and not in a massive clog.

Later will be hoover, bit of dusting and then Christmas wrapping and decorating.

Then once the Christmas stuff is done more hoovering no doubt

For those shopping today I have heard that banks are expecting a similar day to Black Friday but without so much discounting so extra hugs, spoons and sticks all round.

Have a good day all and catch up with you later.

gilly that made me smile and i loved LW quick reply
iona, glad things are looking more positive
hope all the poorlies are starting to feel better and things generally are improving for everyone
yesterday really was a waste of time, went hospital got called in they told mil to get ready for an examination and dr would be in, helped her get ready sat and waited a lady doc we'd never seen before came in examined mil and said 'things felt a little different' and she was concerned about the swelling in the lymph area so she would book us for a scan and perhaps a little op was needed to remove swollen nodes and she would see us again after that in a month. i asked if she was sure about this as to the best of my knowledge we had NEVER seen her before and the regular dr had made it clear no more scans and just treating pain and symptoms as ops were too late now/dangerous. she said yes she was sure maybe I couldnt remember then gave me a letter to queue for appts. just got them sorted and was about to leave when she came rushing out and said the regular doc needed to see us again so would we wait. 30mins later, we get taken back in to see her. totally different conversation. shed now found the most recent letter in the file confirming everything id said and was backtracking like mad. now weve got no scan no appt in a month and were offered either an appt in 4 months time to touch base and monitor or we can just have the phone number and ring for an appt if things change a lot or get worse. i told her i really wasnt happy and was going to take BOTH options the appt in 4 months along with the right to ring if i feel we need to. i know mum doesnt tell us everything so i fear she will slip under the radar and it will be just me and her alone if i go for the phone call only option at least this way ive got an appt. then to add the icing on the top of a really rubbish day, we go out to make the appt and the receptionist take the date of the cancelled appt in jan as the one to go 4 months from so offers us one in june!!! even by my maths that isnt 4 months. at this point the puters crashed so she lost pactients
with us and said shell post it. to really top the day off the taxi went to the wrong dept so we had a walk in the rain all the way round the building. ive decided to come down with a cold and this mornig the rads dont work.
LOL things can only get better and i really hope everyone else has a better day than that today

so ive doused up with lemon honey and parrots-eat-em-all
rang the boiler man (whos a star and popping round in the morning) and am now waiting for DD2 to come round to pull some shopping in before i need to go to work.

Can't just read and run - huge (((hugs))) Mrs MoneyPenny. Those days, where absolutely everything that can go wrong, does, are the pits. I hope today brings a calmer, quieter, gentler vibe. Your mother-in-law is a very lucky lady to have someone so close by her.
    Better is good enough.
