I have been a bit AWOL with exams and working and then sods law struck and my boiler decided to pack in on Sunday!!!

This resulted in my having a good old cry because it's an old system and was quoted over £2K to rip it all out and but a combi in. Que loads of running about trying to get the money but couldn't even increase my loan as they refused me due to me returning back to PT after working 6 months at an extra day a week and said this was a decrease in salary! Furious. but made me more determined to get rid of the debt once and for all.

So back again and first time in weeks I have potted...managed to save £23.56 on my shopping this week Gave me a nice wee boost

I'm so terribly sorry to hear your news, debtfreeby30, but I so admire your resolve to keep going forward, and with that outlook you'll get there..and further! Keep battling on and whenever things become too much - a good cry then moving on with a positive mind is key to getting on in life...which can be a challenge at the best of times!

Well done with the £2 saved, Observer, have a reasonable day and then look forward to New Year!

Don't worry, sonicetomeetyou, the Target's there for you to hopefully reach, but if you don't it really doesn't matter, the main thing is that you're saving! Keep doing that and you'll find that even with just a few pennies here and there - it really does mount up by the end of the year!!

Sorry so very confused, but I've just looked through the member list and you haven't as yet joined us on SPC. You may have joined us prior to this year, but in late 2013 I had to do a complete overhaul of the membership list as there were so many unused Nos with folk having left MSE. So, I asked everyone to re-join. However, you and all those affected by not coming back are most welcome to do join us again. I'll PM you to make sure you see this then you can come on back, ask to join us and I'll officially welcome you aboard once again!

Oh poor you, mummytummy, your temperatures in Oz sounds unbearable and I don't blame you for wishing you were home. I know I'd hate not to have our seasons, but at least you WILL be coming home one day! Stay indoors whenever possible and keep looking ahead to returning to good old England!! :kisses3: and {{{Hugs}}} for you. xxx

Despite the snow, still managed to get DD to her riding lesson today, and was rewarded with 2 x £2 coins and a 50p to pot.

Hi everyone,
Ive been so cold today and have a horrible cough!There is a bug going round locally and it's my turn ,I suppose!

Lovely frosty day here and walking Rosie, the sealed pot hound, in a frosty field is a joy. She dances and does 'zoomies ' around the trees and bushes, it's magical to watch.

Potting is continuing and so exciting hearing the 'clink' change to 'clunk' in the tin.
