I woke up this morning to find that the spreadsheet I was working on yesterday to finalise my accounts had not been saved. I could have cried

However, I've managed to update it today but I am missing £12.08. However, I have also remembered that I have been paying £10 a month out of one of my accounts that has not been accounted for. This was for 5 monthly payments so I have now debited the £50 which leaves me with a £37.92 credit which I shall put into my holding pot.

My accounts will be finalised on New Year's Eve and excess income over expenditure in my bills and weekly spending/housekeeping budget for the year will be put in my sealed pot.

  • Bought a tin yesterday and have put the coins from last time (not a lot) into it. Have also changed up some of the kids small coins (my Mum did them Advent stockings with money in so a different amount each day, each one added up to £10 so some small change). I've added that to my tin too. It feels heavy already but probably won't be able to save too much just small coins.

I always look forward to the New Year as I always get the 'saving' bug so hope to start putting lots in my tin this year as the last two years I've not really done the challenge.

  • Thanks Sue....

After a thoroughly horrid morning of feeling sick, dizzy and everything in between....I'm heading off to the Doctor's this Afternoon....perhaps she can give me something to stop it altogether....

But right now I feel horrible and depressed and tearful.... :(

I know they will be able to sort it once I've had the Operation...they will either put the Mirena Coil in or they will give me some Tablets or something....but it's just really getting me down at this Point...

Still, at least I haven't gone doolally on my Credit Card or (even worse) split open my Pot and spent it all!! My Credit Card is in tact, no money spent on it (in fact I've even paid a little off today!!), and my Pot is still very much Sealed and will stay that way!! :)

I DO however have a fiver that I would have spent on Lunch today but I swapped my Shifts around so that I could take today to feel better and get to the Doctors...so I might buy just a very small treat to satisfy my urge to spend...and will Pot the rest....I'm currently thinking a packet of Yum Yum's will suffice...and they are only a pound :D

Anyway...sorry for rambling on....I'll let you all know how I get on at the Doctor's....

See you later...and thank you for "listening" to my insane ramblings :D

I think the mood swings are partly hormonal....It just feels today like I can't cope with much more....

    BUT....Things WILL get better....

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all.

More and more new potters - exciting. Good luck with your potting - may all your totals be large ones (or at least what you would like).

DreamerHelen - best wishes for this afternoon. Keep that chin up.

Potted 2 x £2 coins today, but had to use 2 x £1 coins!! Very disappointed with that!!

Weather is steady here. Cold morning frost, lovely when the sun comes out to play (as it is right now) and then cold when it gets dark.

  • Many thanks for the No. Sue.
I have pottered my first coins, I am not keeping count but think I must've put about £3 in. That includes the pound I would've spent on a new ton, instead it cut a hole in a big round sweet tin and masking taped the lid down,
Hope there is lots of pottering today.
    Take cared
