Potted £3 today, well metaphorically potted it as we are away in Wales for a few days and my pot is at home. The coins are out of my purse anyway. Had a walk to the pub down here last night, where they serve some lovely ales. Had a couple then walked back home. There is a really dark section between the two villages and the sky was full of stars that I never see at home. The wonders of dark skies. It was really breath-taking but very cold as well. We had planned for the dark so we had torches with us.
Met some lovely friends and their kids today for a walk. I was amazed how deep the snow was up in the hills. Knee-deep in places. The kids got a bit bored half way round. So glad mine is grown up now. Had a hot drink in a caf! at the end. Really lovely day.
Enjoy the rest of your day today.
Hugs to those feeling under the weather or struggling with faulty boilers. How horrible when it is so cold at the moment.

Helloooooooooooooooo Pottersssssssssssssssss
Well I was just about to get some change out of my purse for the pot and realised I hadn't put on the kids fish fingers, pull the box out of the freezer and sent a massive chicken portion skidding across the drawer where it promptly fell off the edge straight onto the end of my second toe! OMG, I was sat on the floor crying my eyes out it hurt so badly, can only compare it to that pain you get when you trap your finger in the car door, it doesn't hurt till you take it out and a few seconds have passed.
DH was trying not to laugh at me as after it had subsided I was wailing 'OMG don't let it be broken! how can I tell people I broke my toe with a chicken portion!' am now hobbling round with my sock off as I have a wicked 'pinch' by the nail, thankfully can now wiggle it without wanting to cry so don't think its broken , just going to have a nice bruise . . well that will stop me shopping for the next few days
To top it off, got a carpy cold as well so am going to cuddle up on the sofa this evening and try and find a decent film to watch
So I DID have some potting news, but at the minute my toe hurts too much to go and get it out of my purse so will try and pot it laterSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Hey Everyone....Thank You for your well-wishes....
I'm not in a good place right now so I'll try to keep this short...
Doctor (well, Nurse Practitioner actually) gave me some Tablets to stop the bleeding...and is also sending me for a Blood Test tomorrow to check my Thyroid Levels as she thinks that some of what is going on could also be because of my under-active Thyroid and perhaps I'm not on the correct Medication...
I'm fairly sure the mood-swings are hormonal....but they are awful right now...I'm sat here crying as I type this but later on I'll probably be on top of the World....It's very confusing....I know it's not a mental-health thing because a) I work in the Mental Health Field, b) So does my Mum and c) It only started this badly when I came off the Pill earlier this Year....
Anyway....so all I can is take the Tablets...go for my Blood Test and then see how things go...
I've Potted £4 and some change tonight....hopefully that will make me feel better when I think about it later on....
I might just curl up and go to sleep for a while now...we'll see...
"See" you all later on xXx0 -

However, I've managed to update it today but I am missing £12.08. However, I have also remembered that I have been paying £10 a month out of one of my accounts that has not been accounted for. This was for 5 monthly payments so I have now debited the £50 which leaves me with a £37.92 credit which I shall put into my holding pot.
My accounts will be finalised on New Year's Eve and excess income over expenditure in my bills and weekly spending/housekeeping budget for the year will be put in my sealed pot.

Oooooh, I know that feeling so well, Frogletina, I wouldn't wish it on anyone, BUT at least it's all worked out well. brilliant!!! :jtoo_much_debt wrote: »I always look forward to the New Year as I always get the 'saving' bug so hope to start putting lots in my tin this year as the last two years I've not really done the challenge.

Best wishes with treating every day like a new year, TMD!!! You CAN do it..just be sure to stay on track all year through!!!!!
I hope all went well for you with the Dr, Helen, I hope she is able to help you. Do try hard NOT to spend though, in fact IF you don't then surely staying true to your savings will help you feel so much better about yourself?!! Give it a try, go on, Helen!!!!!
What a beauty of a morning, Lynsey, perfect photography weather...bally cold though!!!! You used 2 x £1 coins?!!!How sad.
WHAT can I say, jakes-mum?! Though I'd never have laughed, never!!!!! (:rotfl:)dreamingofmoney wrote: »I have pottered my first coins, I am not keeping count but think I must've put about £3 in. That includes the pound I would've spent on a new ton, instead it cut a hole in a big round sweet tin and masking taped the lid down,
Hope there is lots of pottering today.
Take cared
Wonderful, dreamingofmoney, you're well on your way now!!! :j Far better to pot that £1 rather than waste it on a tin! All the best for a great surprise in November!!
How wise you are with your SPC words, Rosy!I wish DH could get a pair of walking boots easily, but he needs the back (of the ankle top) to be lower than the front, if you see what I mean. Others have a different name ****** awkward!!!!
You're welcome, peatles, but could you please add your SPC No to your signature for me? Thanks.
It sounds as though you're really enjoying yourself, chickadee, the wonders of dark skies, we're lucky here, not in the sticks, but very rural and the sky was gorgeous last night.
So, mcjordi, will you or won't you?! Fill it up I mean.Go on!
Excellent potting, the.new.me!!!!! Brilliant work...keep it up!! :T
Hi Helen, it does sound as though it could be related to the pill. Though being an UA thyroid sufferer myself, I know that can be pretty rough until you get treatment. All the best with the test. :kisses3: Have a good night in that bed!Enjoy a peaceful (or otherwise) evening, SPCers, and if you're going out - be careful of the snow icy roads!

DreamerHelen I have had an under active thyroid for about 22 years now and I know my mood swings a little too. I also seem to have much heavier bleeding every month than any of my friends. Sometimes it can make you so tired but just hang in there it will get betterDebt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

Thank You Sue....I promise I did NOT spend on my Credit Card...nor did I go anywhere near my Sealed Pot (well, except to put money IN it)....
I DID buy a couple of small bits....but still had enough left to Pot over £4....so I can't complain about that....And the Yum Yum's made me feel better
Yeah, this Thyroid thing is not nice at all....and they have put me on the lowest possible dose, which I understand is the procedure at the beginning...and then they are sending me for the Blood Test tomorrow which will tell them if the Medication is working...if not then they will up it I guess...
I'll be okay...just got to keep on going....That's been my Mantra for the last 2 years at least.....and I'll keep on repeating it in my head until things get better....
Right...I'm off to have a sleep, for a few hours at least....I'll be back later on when I hope to be in a MUCH better moodxXx
