Hope Everyone had a good crimbo!

Can I join the sealed pot challenge?

Of course you can join us, Mrs_Hutchins. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Mrs_Hutchins - please note that instead of giving you the following No on the list I've given you No 30! I'm sure that member would have returned by now, and if she does, I'll give her a new one. ;) Aside from that, it's a LUCKY No!!! :rotfl:

I did my monthly lotto online yesterday and won £10 so into the pot it goes. :j
It's ok sue I have no idea how you manage to keep up with all our shinanegans (don't think thats how it's spelled :rotfl:) let alone post comments to so many of us.

Me either, scotmumof3..me either. :( BTW, here's a gold star for you for the lovely welcome to Mrs_H. :staradmin Though, unless she was extremely short of reading matter I doubt she'd want to read the 2nd post as it's filled with Nos and names. :wall: (we've got a right one ere :undecided tis the scotch part that does it, must be.)

Nearly forgot (again), scotmumof3..you said that your Mum, Dad or both had given you £30 for Christmas and you didn't need it so potted it - brilliant work and you'll go far as a SPCer! :j So long as you remember tis the 1st post of Page 1. :(;) Congratulations on the £10er too!!!!! :T

Oh very good, Kerry, that's it, keep your eyes on the ground, but be sure to look up regularly as we don't want to have to peel you from a post!! :( :rotfl:
No 85 reporting to pot and putting in my first £3 small beginnings. Forgot to set myself a target i am going to aim for £300.

Ok donna dynamo, I've sorted out your Target, but please can you pop your No 85 onto your signature for me as it's a huge help to me?! Thanks.

You have to stay positive, Helen, there's little point to doing owt else, I promise you! ;)

Enjoy your weekend, everyone, and to those of you in snow hit areas - do be so careful of the snow and ice! :(

    Sue x

  • Higuys!!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas.

I have been a bit AWOL with exams and working and then sods law struck and my boiler decided to pack in on Sunday!!! :'(

This resulted in my having a good old cry because it's an old system and was quoted over £2K to rip it all out and but a combi in. Que loads of running about trying to get the money but couldn't even increase my loan as they refused me due to me returning back to PT after working 6 months at an extra day a week and said this was a decrease in salary! Furious. but made me more determined to get rid of the debt once and for all.

So we saving up for the boiler and the rest. not worrying too much now I have had wee cry just going to keep on plodding on.

So back again and first time in weeks I have potted...managed to save £23.56 on my shopping this week :D Gave me a nice wee boost :D

    Hi guys

Sorry some of you aren't having as smooth a Christmas as hoped. But you all seem to be being positive for the next few days which is a lovely thing to read. :smileyhea

I potted £2 this morning as my bf came home last night and emptied his pockets in front of me......so I nicked the £2 coin that went on the table as quickly as I could! I did immediatly replace it with 2x£1 coins mind. But I wouldn't have potted those so it was win win all round :D

No snow in south Cumbria as yet but I see a bit further south was yucky yesterday. Cold here so could happen yet.

Back to work tomorrow after a few days off. Working Sundays isn't much fun but soon have a few days off again for new year then it'll be a long slog till I take holiday in March. Hope everyone is nearly feeling ready to eat again :rotfl:
