Good evening everyone, I'm new to this forum but thank you to Sue-UU for the very warm welcome and giving me my challenge number. I am using a money box for now until I get a sealed pot to use for the challenge. It is in the shape of a dog and I have had it since I was a little girl. My brother had a Basil Brush money box but I've always been fond of my dog.

Went out today for a walk to blow away the cobwebs. It was colder and very breezy! We drove to a local beauty spot for a walk round the reservoir. When we were looking for a convenient parking spot we spotted a couple acting strangely. She was hobbling across the road almost bent over and clutching at the hood on her coat, whilst the chap was just standing there in a jumper, and it was far too cold for a jumper! Anyway, we slowed right down and I wound down the window to see if they were ok. Turns out they had broken down and the RAC man was having trouble finding them. He was waiting at a farm with a wind turbine and they were heading up the hill to find him. Anyway, they jumped into the car and we gave them a lift down the lane to the farm with the windmill - it was about 3 miles away, uphill and down dale. It would have taken them ages to get there, they weren't a young couple. Chap would have had exposure before they found him. Anyway, good deed done, we had a lovely walk. Went in a little tea room for a cuppa and got back to the car just before dark. Hubby made Christmas Dinner patties for tea. Yum! Christmas dinner leftovers shaped into a burger and baked in the oven.

Had some £2 coins in my purse so I put them into the dog along with some 5ps and coppers. It's a start and one I'll be following up during the year. Have a happy new year all, whatever you may be doing.

I can't seem to post smilies. Does anyone know why?

Well done on the good deed. If you press go advanced when typing it gives you the options for smilies, think you have to put colons before and after!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

chickadee - nice touch there - well done. What goes around, comes around, I hope.

Potted 5 x £1 coins and by default!! The shop had no fivers, so 5 x £1 coins in change. I'm potting everything I can at the moment and will do throughout January and February.

The weather is very mild here at the moment - can't complain.

  • Hi, I'd like to sign up again for the spc. It's great fun and keeps the mind focused when out shopping. Thanks Sue for keeping it going.

  • Guess what Santa put in my Stocking? A new "frozen" themed sealed pot! However did he know it's just what I wanted?!

    Happy Christmas Potters

    Xx
  • I found a £1 coin in a trolley in Sainsburys today. It was right by my car so the previous person obviously couldn't be bothered to put it back. Have potted the £1 plus a couple of £2 coins I had in my purse from Christmas Eve.

Hope everyone has had a fabulous Christmas.

  • Evening everyone,

I hope you've all had a lovely xmas. We have all been thoroughly spoiled.

I potted £5 on xmas day that I had left over from xmas eve shopping. Nothing potted since then, although I found a £5 note on my bedside cabinet, so debating whether to pot it.

Awww chickadee what a lovely thing to do, I'd love to help someone out like that, but sadly I'm so sceptical of people, I'd be scared it was a ruse to rob me. :(

Welcome tizzi13 :hello: Sue, our leader of the challenge will be along to give you a challenger number, but until she does please have a look over post 1 on page 1. And pop back and let us know how your potting is going. We're a friendly bunch. :D
