Morning all,
Have been feeding the pot with £2 daily, and found a lovely £20 note lurking in my 'summer' handbag! :j Changed to my 'winter' one when I went to Germany and didn't empty it before hanging it up in the wardrobe so it's gone in the pot. :T
ETO so sad about the dog, it's a difficult decision to make. As others have said, he's gone to be with his dad.
Keep feeding the pot people!!

A great saving on the phone, Saver-upper!! :j I don't think we get money back from our energy suppliers, or at least, we haven't and we're a LOT in credit too!. I think DH is going to ask, but not expecting to be told yes, we'll see.wealthygirl wrote: »I'm afraid I've only been able to pot a £2 coin and 18p in coppers that were weighing my purse down! I will have to try harder next week.
As Helen rightly points out, wealthygirl, you don't have to be saving a lot, just budget well and save what you can when you can, that's what SPC is all about. £2 18 is still good savings!Good for you in helping your Mum out. :A

I am declaring a NSD today. I am not leaving the house except to walk the dog so unless some catastrophe occurs (like a meteor striking earth , or DH running out of milk
) I won't need the £1 lingering in my purse so in the pot it goes. It's making a very satisfying thud now when it meets all the other lovely coins. OK I admit it I'm addicted
Is there anyone on here to give counseling for this type of addiction I just can't go a day without potting :rotfl:
Debt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

Hi Sue-UU.Last September I changed energy providers (British Gas to M+S).My monthly bills for gas and electricity immediately dropped, and about June this year I was thrilled to find M+S had refunded £340-350-ish(cant remember exact amount).I hadn't asked for it,nor expected it.At the same time they also reduced my monthly DD's for gas and electricity.
I think if you are too much in credit with energy suppliers, you can ask for it back.I am not on Twitter, but on the links to Twitter on the right hand side of these pages there are people Tweeting to Martin that they phoned up,and got back 100's of pounds.
The argument is that British Gas/SSE/n-power,et al are not banks, and you have no desire to "bank/invest" your money with them for them to claim the interest. You are entitled to ask for it back.
My phone call to BG last night to check what is owed to me took just over 5 minutes (and it was only that long cos I kept saying "Are you sure you refunded any unused credit....I don't remember seeing it....how much did you refund?.What date was that....oh,October last year,ok,will search online account going further back.....oh,yes-here it is....thank you":rotfl:.)
Definitely worth a phone call.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Dear ETO,
Warm hugs to you. I hope you stay strong during this trying time.
Potted £1.69 from my grocery shop. Was determined not to go over £10 pounds today so I withdrew £10 from the cash machine and bought items from both Mr T and Mr M and to my delight I had £1.69 to spare. Very delighted. From now on, ill withdraw cash whenever I go grocery shopping. Seems to help me control costs.£47605.33 outstanding in C.C (£8000 Interest free till January 2025)0
