Evening all, hope everyone is well
£2.34 potted today. So far so good in taking all food to work so if I make it all week will pot my savings. Trouble is with my frugal spending I've little cash in my purse to pot it's all still in the bank
Enjoy the rest of the week all,

DH had an operation yesterday, to repair the Labrum in his left hip. We were on tenterhooks all day and he finally came out at 9 PM!! So DD & I went off to collect him. It's very painful, but he's ok. Though after all that, the Consultant says he'll need a full replacement sooner than later!!!
I have sympathy as I had my labrum repaired in 2008, then had another operation in 2009, 2010, and 2013 finally had full replacement in 2014,
still not fixed but the outcome was the same, I just wish I could have had it years ago without all the fannying around...
chin up and tell him to keep moving and heat therapy works well for me....

Afternoon all :hello:
What fantastic weather we've had here all week. Clear blue skies, sunshine and warm - cold at night I know but happy to put up with that. It's been like summer come late :j
Oh dear Sue- sorry to hear of DH's troubles. Sending gw vibes to him and all the best for you and family.
Have potted £ 10 and some uncounted shrapnel and looking forward to counting it all up soon. You should know better Jakesmum after all this time - opening time is opening time for the pots unless a dire emergency arises
Sending (hugs) to everyone as we all need one now and then
Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Good Morning to all our SPCers!
I hope you've all had a good or reasonable week and are enjoying the weekend. Not long until a wet and windy week is upon us, so make the most of today! For those not well or who may be down for any reason, here are some special {{{Hugs}}} to help pick you back up. I hope you're soon feeling on top of the world once again.
Don't forget folks, there are only about 4 & 1/2 weeks to go until declaring day!!! Save as best you can Potters!!

Thanks so much for those inspiring words, Dragon Lily, I don't know what will happen to my dear Hubby as he can walk perfectly ok, admittedly in some pain, but our GP is forever telling him "they'll laugh at you if you walk in as you do". Ok for him to talk as he's not in the pain DH is the rest of the time. Every time he stands up he nearly collapses in a heap, and that's where the main problem is and it's been that way for 40 years, only found in the end by a Chinese Dr, bless him!!! :T He's in a great deal of pain, but he's also NOW in the hands of the powers that be, so....if he can be helped at all, it's down to them NOT our GP!! :j
Oooo Sue, remember the blanket I crocheted my nana last year, I finally found a picture of it! I shall pop it up for you when i've got 2 mins to resize it.
I do remember you making it, jakes-mum, and I so look forward to seeing it once you've got it re-sized.Thanks for the explanation about Grosgrain, I'd never heard of it, but shan't forget it now. Keep up the enthusiasm with your crafting, anything like that does us all so much good.
You're well into the saving groove, stormpassing, and I do admire you for taking your own lunch. :T If change is a problem due to you becoming so frugal - how about paying yourself for things you do (rewards) - that way you can store either notes (if it's possible in your pot/s) or exchange notes for 50ps anything to get money saved. No doubt you'll think of something.I have sympathy as I had my labrum repaired in 2008, then had another operation in 2009, 2010, and 2013 finally had full replacement in 2014,

Aha Westie! :grinheartThe first person we've come across to know what he's experiencing, though I hope it doesn't take him so long as you to get it all fixed. Thanks so much for your wishes, ours go to you too that you, one day soon, will feel like Dragon Lily's Brother, and thanks for the heat therapy tip, Westie, it certainly does help.
Hi there, Hicksy! Crikey, that 6 months soon sped round!! He's at that more interesting stage now, enjoy it while you can as you're definitely welcome to that type of commute!!! Some great savings!
Ah, thank you, Lynne, for enforcing the rules to jakes-mum (as though she needs it!), though I know her game, she just likes to try to wind me up, but she makes me giggle a bit so I'll forgive her. Thanks for your wishes to my DH, I've passed them on and he's grateful that people he doesn't really know should think of him, though he's heard all your names before believe me.
Many thanks, Kerry and 32b3, hopefully he'll soon be a lot better......
....you too, Modesty, it means a lot and I'm hoping the pain will soon lessen. Early days yet. I hope your DH is still doing well - and as he's told!milky wrote:I've not posted much through the year but have been potting away :T
Well done, milky, that's the most important thing, so keep it up.Have a lovely Sunday, ALL, and don't neglect your pots!!
