Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have continued potting though and every spare penny and pound goes in the tin. Good afternoon all Potters!
I hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous week. How lucky we've been but - rain is not far away - again! For those not well or who may be down for any reason, here are some special {{{Hugs}}} to help pick you back up. Rise above it all.
Don't forget folks, it's JUST 5 weeks to go today until declaring day!!! Save madly folk - you can do it!!!
Ah, but where there's a will, TheCatsandDogsMother, I'm sure you'll manage to learn to ride ok, if our DiL can do it so can you!
Hi Sue, DH can keep his tub but I'm not sure how much will end up in it. :rotfl: He is doing quite well atm thanks. Still in pain but doing his exercises to get himself better. He never gives up.
I'm sorry to hear of your DD's eye trouble, sending love and hugs to you all.
Have you heard anything from Sparky Sue? It's been such a long time.
The last I heard from sparky, Modesty, was back in Dec/Jan to say Jane was no better and the Drs were re-running all the tests again, but they were going to the USA in February, which although I hope they did, I would have thought it would be difficult due to the insurance. I'm just hoping that as he hasn't been on since Dec/Jan he'll roll up on the 5th Nov, we'll see. BTW, I'm so chuffed your DH is doing all he can to help himself...keep cracking that whip! DD's eye isn't so bad now and they think it may have been caused by blocked sinuses. Thanks a lot.stormpassing wrote: »So glad I decided to pot this year with a few weeks left. I potted £5 yesterday as I have taken all meals to work all week from home (in reality I've probably saved more than a fiver), and yesterday DH gave me £40 of his weeks wages towards buying Christmas presents. Rather than have it hanging around and then probably spent (not on xmas pressies) it's gone in the pot!!Everytime I go to spend now I'm thinking do I really need/want this or would it be better to pot the cash, guess that's the idea
Excellent potting, stormpassing!! You've really read up well on page 1 and got the idea on exactly how SPC works, fantastic work and good for your DH!
[Qote=jakes-mum]Awww!!!. . . how about just one tin? . . you know . . just to make them feel better?

Absolutely NOOO, NOOO, NEVER NEVER NOOOOOOOOT, jakes-mum!!!!!!! D'you hear me? I repeat, never not no how and that's it!!!!Anymore asking and you'll be on that naughty step - GOT IT? Thought so!
We all know you're totally off your trolley (yep, mad'n all), but what the he*l are grosgrain and flatbacks???!
Oooooooh your poor, poor Mum, Helen, no wonder she was in such agony!!!!! Abscesses are wicked things, I had one many years ago and it really dragged on. Just like your Mum, I also had to wait until all the infection had cleared up before the Dentist could get it out. She has my sympathy, and please give her some SPC love from all the family :kisses::kisses::kisses:, to you too! :kisses3:
Yep! Time'll soon pass now we're at this stage, scotmumof3!
WOW, Lost, £75 in a month is darned good!!!! Keep it going through the last strait....yes, I know darned well you will.
You're so right, siju, it'll come round like lightening now!! Lovely to see you and it's great to hear you've been saving so meaningfully, stay on course!
Sorry, folks,to be later than normal (of late) in returning, but my DH had an operation yesterday, to repair the Labrum in his left hip. We were on tenterhooks all day and he finally came out at 9 PM!! So DD & I went off to collect him. It's very painful, but he's ok. Though after all that, the Consultant says he'll need a full replacement sooner than later!!! Maddening  especially as they gave him the choice but urged him towards not going for the full works. Never mind, at least all went well.Enjoy the rest of Thursday, ALL, and prepare for the weekend! Feed those pots too!!
Sue xx

Booooo! Though I thought I was doing well as I waited till 5 weeks to go before I started askingD
Grosgrain is the ribbon used to make the handles for bags, if you have a rucksack the bit that goes through the buckle to lengthen and shorten the straps is made of grosgrain. Flatbacks are basically plastic shapes and figures with a flat back for using in crafting, you can get things like hearts and half pearls but also all the disney characters etc.
Oooo Sue, remember the blanket I crocheted my nana last year, I finally found a picture of it! I shall pop it up for you when i've got 2 mins to resize it.
I have been crafting away today, got into quite a groove, and now have 3 fabric tree decorations, 1 square fabric storage bag and a weighted ipad standam beginning to wonder if I should venture back into the world of craft fairs with my new range
I have some silver change in my purse as DS managed to save himself £15 (and i'm pretty sure none of it came out of any of my tins!) so he changed it all up with me. Spent most of the £1's at the post office but definitely got a few bits of silver for the pot.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
