Hello all SPCers and a happy Monday to you!I hope you've all had a great weekend and that you enjoy the week ahead. What a wet and windy start to the blighter too! To those who are unwell or who are down in the dumps, here are special {{{Hugs}}} to help you back up again.
Very exciting to discover yesterday, when I posted a £2 coin, that I could still the top of it when I let go. Yes, my lovely big piggy bank is nearly full. Pushing now to fill it before the magic date!
....and what an amazing feeling that is eh, Seaotter! I'm so happy for you - it won't be long now! :jWestie983 wrote:Im sure your DH will be on the road to recovery quicker then me, he has already had the replacement which took me six years to get...
No sadly DH hasn't had a replacement, Westie, they've only taken away all the rubbish from the Labrum and repaired it, but told him that like as not, he will need a replacement anyway, though we've no idea when that might happen. He's having a really rough day today, but thankfully is taking it easy which although its totally against his nature he knows he has to do - and coz I said so!!! All very best wishes for relief from that awful pain.
Hi Saver-upper and very well done with your saving. My heart goes our to you living in such a mess and without all the necessary things in life. Keep on imagining yourself next year when you'll be so happy with your "new home".Good for your M-I-L caring for the uniforms. Keep in contact with us when you're able.
Ahh, it's just gorgeous, jakes-mum! Your Nan must have been delighted on receiving it, a job very well done! Thanks so much for letting me see.
All best wishes to you on losing that desired weight, 32b3!! Now for the all important question, are you staying that weight over Christmas?!!TheCatsandDogsMother wrote: »Still potting away, I have found that I've also stopped buying as much chocolate has I did before the potis a nice bonus
There you go see, TheCatsandDogsMother, not only do you save, you get to budget better and think about almost everything you buy - and eat!! :j Well done you!
There's no only in saving, KONG, as all saving just has to be good! Good to see more of you.
Nothing for me as I'm unable to get out while DH is laid up, but look out once he's ok!!Enjoy the rest of your Monday, ALL, and keep those pots topped up!!

ah my misunderstanding, I too have had the clearout, they even decided to do bit of carpentry and smooth off my ball socket so it was less jagged but this didnt help, I too had the labrium repaired although I think that was the first tick on the list of fixing a hip lol...
then they tried to grow new cartilage, maybe thats what next for your DH, Im sure I mentioned last time but I find heat patches help and just warm joints in general and high chairs and stools as its easier to get up then lower ones... all the best to him....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Good morning all
I potted 2 lovely shiny £2 coins yesterday - love those!0 -
Ahh ty Sue, I would like to say it was a labour of love, but it was more a labour of much swearing and tantrums :rotfl: Though don't think it was bad as my very first crochet attempt. Though ooooooh don't I wish I could be one of those people who watch tv while their hands just crochet away at the speed of sound!
I am way way over excited today as DH bought me an overlocker! :j :j and it arrived TODAY!! its so shiny and new and pretty, I just want to sit and look at itI've wanted one for ages as a sewing machine just doesn't finish certain items in the way an overlocker does, and this one had a bonus kit with it of 12 mahoosive rolls of thread in different colours, scissors and other very exciting things that I don't really know what they do
so DH bought it for me
I do have some change in my purse so will be chucking that in my pot tonight.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
