Thank You Scotmum and Crimson....I appreciate the warm thoughts.....I'm sure it will go fine
Crimson - I keep meaning to give Blood but the last time I offered to give them my Blood I was turned down because I'd had a Tattoo in a Foreign Country...not sure what the rules around that are anymore....so I may well go and check
Had a REALLY good day....Earned some money, which is always goodNot sure whether I can Pot any of it yet as I haven't yet sorted it out....Will come back if I've managed to Pot some of it later on.
But for now I'm Potting what was in my Purse in change - £4.20
Welcome to the Newbies...Hope you're very happy here with usxXx

Hello all,
just a quick question...I have just emptied my money box with £2 coins in (couldn't fit any more in!) Can this go towards my Challenge total for the year, even though they have been saved over a long period of time?
Thanks

anothermoneysaver522 wrote:Hey everyone!
I had begun saving in a sealed pot earlier this month myself so would love to join the challenge please!
I'm aiming to save around £500. I've got around £15 in there so far I think...
I also started doing Christmas Club savings this year, paying £25 a month.
I also have a holiday pot - unsure if this is to be counted as well! But that will be opened in August to help with spending money.
I take part in experiments at the local universities, and they won't make you millions, but you make around £6 per hour you take part. And a spare hour here and there is better spent making money than not making any at all! I find it quite a good way of making a little extra and they are open to the public. I'm not a student there.Hope these are allowed for SPC?
I'm excited to join the challenge! :j
Of course you can join us, anothermoneysaver522. A very warm welcome to you! {Please see your No in the message below) It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
anothermoneysaver522 - please note that instead of giving you the following No on the list I've given you No 47 I'm sure that member would have returned by now, and if she does, I'll give her a new one.BTW, I've your popped your Target on next to your No on the list, also please rest assured that ALL the ways that you're saving CAN be included in your SPC Total in November! Please also note that when you've totted up your holiday cash - please make certain that you pop the amount saved on your signature so you don't forget. You sound so determined, keep it up!
Thanks so much for the welcome, Modesty, and to show you how pleased I am - here's another gold star for you. :staradmin
Flippin heck, Rosy, you did darned well over the weekend, great potting.... :j
...you too, Kerry.jakes-mum wrote:I dunno Sue, you haven't met my sisters :rotfl: I think mum finally decided to give up decided she'd reached perfection with me
Having 'met' you, jakes-mum, I really don't think I could handle your Sisters as well!! :lipsrseal Are you sure your Mum didn't take one look and think "Oh no! I can't do with another one like that!!" That's it Hubby...absolutely NO MORE!!!! :rotfl:
Don't question the fact that at present you're doing things that aren't normal, AlwaysHappy, grief often makes us behave in a slightly differently way, just do whatever your mind believes to be ok, things will come back to normal in time. With regards to saving in a tin, please do and know she will be smiling down at you.BTW, no one is expecting you to keep on top of the thread, you've plenty of other things to see to. Take great care and know that we are all with you.
You did exceptionally well with those coins at S'burys, Lynsey, nice work for sure! :dance:Frogletina wrote:I do wonder sometimes if I should worry about the interest I am not receiving on the money I have potted - but have decided that I would not have put the money in the bank instead of the sealed pot - I would have spent it!
It's entirely up to you how you do it, Frogletina, and I see what you mean, and if it makes it easier, how about banking your savings each month but still saving with your pot between whiles? If you do that it will also keep it safe. Just be sure to keep a note of each lot banked on your signature.
All my VERY best wishes for you tomorrow, Helen!I do hope all goes well for you and that you'll soon be feeling a lot better physically and emotionally, and that you will be much fitter and healthier after getting your diet sorted out, a very wise move!
Love, Sue xx
Well done, Baby Angel, reading the posts of others really suffering truly does help us to get things in perspective. However, I can certainly sympathise with you as no one likes almost throwing money away and that should never have happened! Still, time to let it go and move on and I hope you soon feel much better.
Lovely to see you at last, Ruth!! Oh, how delighted you are at the prospect of getting shot of that loan, and it really is wonderful to share in your excitement, I'm so chuffed for you! :j Full steam ahead now with your CC!!!!
Excellent work, siju!!! I thought you'd been quiet for a while, too busy saving obviously!!Tiptoppex wrote:just a quick question...I have just emptied my money box with £2 coins in (couldn't fit any more in!) I understand Saver-upper has already answered you, Tiptoppex, but yes, anything like this is perfectly ok to do. It's your savings regardless so enjoy SPCing it!!!
Good for you, DeafLeopard. Just one question - is that to be put towards your savings for SPC 8 (2015) or to SPC 7 (2014)??
Oh, 32b3, that really is maddening that you've gained weight rather than losing it!! Have you done any muscle exercise, kettle bells etc? If so, that might be the cause so too could ttom be!
Thanks a million for that recipe, scotmumof3, it was absolutely delicious!!!!! :T DH & I thoroughly enjoyed it on Monday and are having more again tomorrow! Very many thanks again for sharing.Good News !! My DS is alive and well and heading to South Sumatra. He has been in an area without internet up until today.
That is just THE BEST NEWS, Lynne!!!!! :j I bet you're thrilled to bits to know he's safe, what a relief.
£4 for the pot from DH, bless him. :kisses3:
