Thank you all for your good wishes, means a lot at this emotional time. I have been at work today for the first time in 5 weeks which felt odd but what I needed - some normality. My house doesn't feel like a home at the moment, so many memories of my Mum, and last night I had to close the door on her room - just for now. We had a fantastic life together though and had an incredible journey the last few weeks where we talked. The last thing I said to her as she passed was that I loved her and what an incredible adventure life had been with her and she squeezed my hand and went. It was incredible, and she was a lovely Mum and a lovely person and I shall always be proud of her. I just wish I didn't feel so empty at the moment.
Anyway, I have thrown all my coins into the tin (my Mum was a saver in a tin so it was in her memory today and I've promised her I will keep up the good work so can't fail can I?)
Haven't obviously time to keep on top of the thread at the minute but hugs to anyone else in need and well done to all those keeping on potting. xI'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0 -
Evening all.
AlwaysHappy - so sad and I'm glad you were there at the end holding your Mums hand, so comforting. That final squeeze will mean a lot.
The memories will always be there, they never die. Enjoy the memories and take care.
Potted a £2 coin and a £1 coin today - c/o Sainsbury's s/scan till. £4 short of that £200 now and I'll get that on Wednesday..............hopefully.

Well,if anybody is looking for me,I will probably be over on the 2015-No Clutter To Be Seen thread.
Because second bedroom was not carpetted as expected last week,we couldn't move furniture into it to start painting the third room. But everyone has been warned that these rooms are going to be minimalism personified!!!So,bit by painful bit, toys, clothes, books, teddy bears, games etc are being sorted.
While decluttering a box of my paperwork (going back to at least 2012!!),I found a plastic bag with receipts 'n stuff. It also included a forgotten £10 note :j,so I have potted that :j:j.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Two £2 coins into my sealed pot today - I wasn't expecting them in my change.
I really do need to get a new pot - I have to shake it now to get any more coins in. I took some notes out a while ago (with my eyes shut!) and put them in an envelope and sealed it. That is now hidden away.
I do wonder sometimes if I should worry about the interest I am not receiving on the money I have potted - but have decided that I would not have put the money in the bank instead of the sealed pot - I would have spent it!

Firstly I wanted to say that I'm thinking of you AlwaysHappy....I'm glad that you were with your Mum at the end and that she heard you say you loved her....May she rest in peace...xXx
Secondly....I'm also thinking of you Lynne and hoping you get some news about your Son soon....and that all is well with him...
Sue...Thank You, I feel REALLY well this week although still feeling sick every now and again but I DO feel different having changed my eating and drinking habits....It's amazing how much it changes a person!!
Still not looking forward to Thursday but I shall think about Christmas when I am hoping to be able to go to Paris for either just the Day or a couple of Days....It's one of my favourite Cities in the World and I love going there and exploring.....I'm trying to save up for that - Or, I may even have enough left over from my Sealed Pot once I have paid for Christmas!!
Anyway....I'm Potting £5.45 this morningStill no temptation to go anywhere near my Pot, except to put things in....This time last Year I think I had already raided it at least twice!! But NOT this Year....this Year it is staying very firmly sealed until 5th November
*Hugs* to those that need them....and I'll "see" you all later on xXx0
