Potted some pennies today! My wee pot is getting heavy. Have decided I will regularly empty it and count and turn it into euros for the wedding. That way I won't spend them as Euros are no good to me here!!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Good morning everyone!
Wow, so many posts and crikey what a superb total for 2014. Well done everyone.
Well, 2015 budget done and dusted, money saved on home insurance renewal, decorations down....on with the new SPC challenge! 6p road change and a shiny new £1 coin potted. The pound coin was courtesy of some lazy booger who left the empty, abandoned trolley to blow into my car. In a huff I returned it to the trolley park and, to my amazement, there was actually a pound in the slot (insert a shocked face 'cos my smilies won't work...) They must be made of money
I have caught the lurgy from the GC so am feeling rubbish this morning...heavy head, sore throat, blocked nose, headache etc Booger
Anyway, a big welcome to all the Newbies. This thread is brill!
And "get well soon " to any poorly people.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Hi Sue,
I got your PM but it won't let me reply, might be because I'm on my phone but can't get to my laptop right now.
It's highly possible that Im thinking of a similar thread from last year but if you'll have me, I'd love to join?
Let me know if there's anything I need to do to make this happen!
Very impressive on the 2014 totalHopefully 2015 can set a new record!

Not much planned for today, other than to get things ready to go back to work again tomorrow
I have really enjoyed the break. I worked right up to Christmas Eve so the 'big day' was early in my holiday and it seems to have made it feel much longer.
I have been food shopping this morning and found 5p on the floor by the till. Guess where that's gone! I potted another £1 from my purse as well.
I was reading on here last night in some of the other threads and one of the big pieces of advice for anyone wanting to reduce their grocery budget is meal planning, so whilst DH was out on his bike ride this morning I put together a meal plan for us for next week. Then I went to Ald! and bought the groceries based on the list. Bearing in mind we had nothing left in the cupboards or freezer, having been trying to use everything up last week, I spent £77. I am sure that the meals I have planned will leave some to freeze and this will cover all three meals for two of us for over a week I'm pretty happy with that. Yes I could have spent less but I bought lots of fruit and veg and meat which I am sure will last quite a while. We were also down to our last toilet roll  so my shopping trip was in the nick of time!
DH is very similar to me so he is delighted that we have a meal plan. I have printed it off to stick up inside one of the kitchen cupboards so that the first in from work can start tea, and we know what needs to be taken out of the freezer at night, if necessary.
Hope everyone is still sticking to their NY resolutions. Did anyone make any, apart from the SPC that is?Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Awww,I am spending sooooo long procrastinating on here today. As you know, our house is in chaos at the moment. The rest of the family have gone out for the day,and I had all these plans for working around the clutter to try and make abit of space around the house, preparing uniforms for school tomorrow, painting skirting boards........As it is,I have read threads on here, watched the news, counted up the change I found in the chocolate tin the other night,re-counted the change I found in the chocolate tin and came to a different total
,recounted it and came to yet a third different total
.
So,I have added somewhere between £8.97 and £9.04 from the chocolate tin that I had found the other day.As well,I have potted £5.57 loose change that has been lying around on the kitchen bench since before Christmas, because I haven't been updating my budget and have now lost track .£5 of those were £1 coins. When I get up to start doing some work in a minute,I will also add the 1p roadkill I found the other day (since, with all the chaos,I don't have a surface to keep my seperate roadkill pot.Rk will have to go straight into tins for a while, instead of being added as a lump sum at the end of the month).
