Afternoon all
Well I had a £10 budget for the week which I haven't spent so its going in the pot.
Have done a shop today so have quite a lot of food in, so shouldn't need to spend much in the next week either.
Hope everyone's enjoying the first weekend of 2015.
Welcome along to the new members. Potting's addictive so watch out.
We're having a treat of fajitas for tea tonight as an early birthday meal. My birthday's on Tuesday and hubby is away, again.Very frugal for us.

Hi all, found 2p roadkill in the library, and hubby put 6p on the chest of drawers so it's been potted.
Going to write my shopping list later, in the hope that if I only buy essentials I'll have some change to pot!Grocery Challenge 2024

Every New Year's Eve, as I previously mentioned, I always finalise my end of year accounts and I have an excess of income over expenditure which I have now potted.
It is £382.08 which is an amazing amount but had I been doing the 2014 sealed pot challenge most of it would have been included in that. I hope it is ok to include this in the 2015 challenge.
Due to this amount, this year's sealed pot is unlikely to be exceeded in subsequent years - but you never know!
One thing which is going to be a challenge is to find a way to do my accounts this year as at the end of each year I note in a little book how much it has cost me to run the household (of one now) because this year some money I take out for housekeeping will be saved and not spent. (I account for my personal spending separately)
This book has been with me through 4 properties I have lived at, and through one marriage, three children, one partner, rates, poll tax, council tax, mortgage, rent, and then mortgage again and now no mortgage.
Only two years are incomplete due to decluttering bills too early - also I became too reliant on spreadsheets instead of my trusted account books. Now I keep accounts both ways (can you tell I'm a little obsessed!)Not Rachmaninov

Hi all, hope that everyone is well and looking forward to a good 2015, with lots of money saving adventures.
My pot still remains light, I just dont seem to have change, mainly due to DH being the cash guy of the house.
Still anything is better than nothing so I'll keep depositing what I can.Sealed Pot Challenge - #462

Welcome to our other new members - welcome to both MSE and this thread - good luck.
Potted a £2 coin and 3 x £1 coins today and the £2 was a kind of "roadkill". I'm 100% sure I was undercharged. In the pot anyway.
Have a great weekend and good luck if you are playing the Lotto.
