Hello folks! I hope everyone's had a wonderful New Year's Eve and an even better New Year's Day. DH & I certainly did with the family on both occasions, plenty of games, laughs...even arm wrestling each other - DH beat all 10 of us!! Take care all those SPC members who are poorly and - get well soon! :j

I'd don't blame you for not quitting slimming world, mcjordi, as you need to be careful not to risk undoing all that hard work. Congratulations on such a fantastic weight loss!!!!!! :T

I do hope your thoughts are right, Lynsey! We're doing exceptionally well this year and I'm still hoping for a greater record than we already have - IF a couple of really good savers come back.

Ooooh cattysmum, you've given me a real longing for a F & C supper now, still DH & I are having a F&C lunch on our Anniversary next week!

went to bank today to pay a bill and completely forgot to take out the money I owe the pot :mad: BUT did realise while stood at the counter that DH and I had missed our lunch out for 2 weeks now so took out £10 in £2 coins to put in the pot in compensation

Had my first trip to the local shopping town today since Christmas. I decided to walk there as it was such a lovely sunny morning. DH was off out on his bike being blown around so it was a solo trip. The walk is just over two miles so not too far at all. Only bought one thing, some new slippers. I had been waiting until after Christmas just in case anybody bought me some as a gift but that wasn't the case so I spent a gift voucher that I had received on them instead. Not in the sale unfortunately but I'm quite picky with slippers so I wanted them to be just right. They'll last me two years I'm sure. I like the suede moccasin type and now I have some in a lovely purple colour! I had a little look around the shops but couldn't really be bothered so I got the bus home instead.


Potted my £2.40 bus fare that I didn't spend on the way there.
