Please may I join? I am sorting out my pot tonight ready for tomorrow.iloveshopping93 wrote:Hi all, am I able to join the thread? I have one money box which I use for my small change and I also have a Pot of Dreams which I use for 50p, £1 and £2 coins (there is also a couple of notes in there).
I will be cashing mine up on 1st September to put towards a short break somewhere.
A very warm welcome, sillyinthepast and iloveshopping93 (please see Nos below). It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving, posting and joining in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
sillyinthepast - please note that instead of giving you the following No on the list I've given you No 04 I'm sure that member would have returned by now, and if she does, I'll give her a new one.
iloveshopping93- please note that instead of giving you the following No on the list I've given you No 06 I'm sure that member would have returned by now, and if she does, I'll give her a new one. Please - would you either declare your savings to me on the thread (which will then be Sealed Pot Challenge ~ Part 2) or declare on the same thread on the 5th November when everyone does! Thanks a lot.
Many thanks Kerry!

That's the attitude, the.new.me, and you CAN do it so stay focused!JoJoC wrote:I'm doing a combination of potting £1/2 coins in an unopenable tin and all other types of change/ leftover coins in a big plastic quality streets jar.
I started last year but tailed off so today I'm carrying on the potting and starting the new year as I mean to go on.
I potted £6 in £ coins this morning (what was in my purse) and £3.22 in the change jar.
Sorry JoJoC, but you haven't joined SPC before, maybe you're getting mixed up with one of the other challenges on MSE. However, if you'd like to join us then please just ask.
I'd don't blame you for not quitting slimming world, mcjordi, as you need to be careful not to risk undoing all that hard work. Congratulations on such a fantastic weight loss!!!!!! :T
I do hope your thoughts are right, Lynsey! We're doing exceptionally well this year and I'm still hoping for a greater record than we already have - IF a couple of really good savers come back.

Had my first trip to the local shopping town today since Christmas. I decided to walk there as it was such a lovely sunny morning. DH was off out on his bike being blown around so it was a solo trip. The walk is just over two miles so not too far at all. Only bought one thing, some new slippers. I had been waiting until after Christmas just in case anybody bought me some as a gift but that wasn't the case so I spent a gift voucher that I had received on them instead. Not in the sale unfortunately but I'm quite picky with slippers so I wanted them to be just right. They'll last me two years I'm sure. I like the suede moccasin type and now I have some in a lovely purple colour! I had a little look around the shops but couldn't really be bothered so I got the bus home instead.
Potted my £2.40 bus fare that I didn't spend on the way there.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90
