Happy new year all and welcome to the world of 2015.
Hoping this is a great year for all potters and despite losing approx 3 weeks (earlier count up day this year), still hoping for a record year.

sillyinthepast - welcome and good luck with potting that cash.

Started the year off by potting 2 x £2 coins from Asda s/scan tills.

Not set foot outside the house today, so not much to report. Didn't have a wild NYE. Had a walk along to our local pub, then on to another on the way home, but only one drink in each. We were home by about 10pm then just watched TV until midnight. Never heard of Adam Lambert before but he was superb performing with Queen.

Anyway, the tree is down, all the decs are down, except the lights outside the house. I have decluttered all of the decorations that were still in the box but haven't been used this year or last year so now all of the Christmas stuff will fit in one box in the loft. Lounge vacuumed and feeling spacious once again. Phew!

Not spent anything today so just put £1.50 from my purse in the pot.

It is January so I've joined the Dry January challenge and Jantastic, which is a fitness challenge. I'm not being sponsored or anything, and they are both only for my personal benefit so we'll see how I get on. For Jantastic I have pledged 2 runs and 1 x cycle per week. I used to run loads but just fell out of the habit so this should help me to get back into the habit. Running is great for roadkill as well. Some of my best finds have been whilst out running. Fingers crossed!

    Happy New Year all. :)

  • Potted around a fiver this past few days, with a few coins I found, and a couple of 2 for 1 offers I got in the shops.

Then last night, me and my husband went out for New Years Eve, and took £40, and came back with £20! :T

No idea how that happened! I guess mine and my husband's friends must have bought more drinks than us #oops

Still, the £20 has now gone in the pot. Woo hoo! :)

    Happy new year everyone! :D

Happy new year, Iv been busy potting for the last few days. Mum, OH and me had a fish and chippie supper on new years eve, had a very quiet one this year, anyway change from chippie went streight in my pot and I also found a fiver lurking in the back of my purse I forgot I had so that has gone into my holding pot for a few days rest.

Happy New Wotsits to you all!!!!!

I've had a deliberately very quiet couple of weeks - not really been out so not been generating much to feed Mister Pot. He's had bits and pieces - the main thing is I've been remembering to shove those bits and pieces in when they come along.

Happy 2015 potting to you all

    Hello :)

Potted another £4.98 today. I have 4 pots now.

    1 for 1ps
    1 for 2ps
    1 for 5ps
    1 for anything over 5p.

I just used various empty jars that I found around the house. I'd love a PoD but don't want to pay for one.
Maybe I'll put it on my list for Christmas 2015.
  • Hi all, am I able to join the thread? I have one money box which I use for my small change and I also have a Pot of Dreams which I use for 50p, £1 and £2 coins (there is also a couple of notes in there).

I will be cashing mine up on 1st September to put towards a short break somewhere.
