Oooh interesting post. I was wondering what the dream fund in your sig was for! How exciting to have made such a good start on it. I am following with interest. You and Mr MM have got me thinking about FI. I suspect that for me as a single 35 year old renter that ship sailed a few years back. :o But my income and attitude are much better these days so I will review after I've bought a house. Mr MM would surely tell me to get on with being badass, no excuses and better late than never!??:rotfl:
Better late than never! Even if you don't meet your target, you'll be a lot closer than most people :) feel free to ask any questions and I'll try and help, if I can!

    Hi all!

I am so impressed with how much everyone is saving! A bit late, but I have saved £1,000 for May. Very unlikely to have anything to declare in June as we have just booked a summer holiday so will be saving our spending money!

Slowlyfading- I love your blog! I wish you every success in your quest for early retirement :)

    Good news to share.

My partner started a new job today, £9,000 pay rise plus a yearly bonus of £1,500

So hopefully will be able to save more for our house move now

    Fingers crossed!

I have a dilemma which I wonder if I could ask views on? I signed up to save £12k on this challenge and that is still my intention and so far I am on target. However I am at present saving in a stocks and shares isa but as this is not easily accessible and I will be changing my car next year I am changing from saving £1000 per month in the stocks and shares isa to just saving £500 per month and leaving £500 per month in my Santander 123 current account towards the new car. Do I leave my target at £12k still bearing in mind I will have it all in savings by the end of December albeit that £3500 will be earmarked to go towards a new car or should I reduce my target to £8500?

It's your choice, but saving towards a car next year, is still saving this year.
