Managed to pay off £427.65 of the loan balance as I overpaid on the first with money saved from downgrading to the bus this month instead of the train. I actually paid in £520.64, so £92.99 went straight to the bank, but I've saved £17 in interest. It will get better and better the more I keep going.Keep reading books!

Oooh interesting post. I was wondering what the dream fund in your sig was for! How exciting to have made such a good start on it. I am following with interest. You and Mr MM have got me thinking about FI. I suspect that for me as a single 35 year old renter that ship sailed a few years back. But my income and attitude are much better these days so I will review after I've bought a house. Mr MM would surely tell me to get on with being badass, no excuses and better late than never!??:rotfl:

A massive thank you to edinburgher and lomcevak for all of the advice re geriatic laptop I really appreciate it. I will be attempting to resus it (maybe with help of friends techy hubbie) with some of the suggested things after payday- handily the laptop is an '08' Mac book!
Congratulations on a baby edinburgher too! :j
