Just opened a new isa for 2015/2016 with a lump sum of £1500 into the Vanguard Lifestrategy 60 fund. Monthly payment of £500 also due to go out on 20th April so won't update the form until that has gone out. Will hopefully be at £4500 by the end of this month. The next few months are going to be difficult due to holidays and trips away though.

Just registered for gross interest on my Santander 123 current accounts as I only work part time and no longer need to pay tax on my interest. This means all my savings are now sheltered from tax so very happy with that. Could just do with higher interest rates now!

    Hi All

Hope you are all doing ok. I'm declaring an early save in April - interest on my ISA of £156.25...rubbish really, but the best I can get at the mo.

Am keeping my spendies down as much as possible this month, so fingers crossed for a decent saving declaration later in the month.

I had expected to need a new account, but my broker (Charles Stanley Direct) keep it quite simple, the account just continues, but with the new tax year allowances applied. Very straightforward

Not just your broker, all financial institutions in the UK.
    Total Debt
    12/2012 - £893k (mortgage and toys loans)
    11/2019 - £556k (mortgage only)

I didn't know that, so thanks both. Last year was the first I'd even done as a S&S ISA, so still learning.

After lending a friend some money last month, and therefore being unable to save, I was able to put £3,700 into savings yesterday. I should get paid back what i owed in July, so I'm on track to get close to my target! Well done everyone; it is so motivating to read all the posts!!
I'm trying to remember to pay my future self first!
