  • You're up and about early today, Emz,I hope it isn't because you are feeling ill.

The trouble you are having with your eye sounds awful. Good idea to check with the nurse yesterday, you can't be too careful with such a precious thing as your eyesight.

Sounds as if this morning will be a bit of an ordeal and I hope they sort things out quickly and prescribe something to cure it. Will be thinking of you.

I've suddenly developed a slight pain in one of my wisdom teeth, not toothache exactly, just a vestige of something. I've a phobia about dentists (and their prices, no NHS dentists available anywhere:eek:). In my typical ostrich fashion I'll just hope it goes away:o.

Well done on all the money you are making from overtime this week:T. Saw your latest post on the £10 thread.

Good Luck to Andy this morning. I hope you get to see it, should be an entertaining match:j
  • Emz, don't take any chances with your eyesight however long you need to sit and wait to be seen.

CBC, I too hate the dentist but logic tells me that the sooner I go, the less pain and cost there is ultimately. Also, if you haven't already, make use of clove oil while you're plucking up courage.

    Thanks everyone :A

Well, I've got a corneal ulcer. I've got some drops that I have to put in every hour for the next 48 hours - even during the night!!. Guess who won't be getting much sleep over the next two days?

I've had to put a timer on my phone to go off every hour so I don't forget. I've got an appointment on Monday morning to see the consultant again, when I believe I will switch from antibiotic drops to steroid drops.

    Not a happy bunny :(

    Emz xx
  • Ouch! Hope the drops make a difference really quickly x

  • Poor you, Emz. Sounds awful.

I'd never heard of it before but it looks quite common as both stressed. mum and beanielou's ex have had it too. Any idea what causes it?

    Take care of yourself:kisses3:

I had acanthameba keratitis 20 years ago, I was hospitalised with its and had to have drops every 15 mins 24 hours a day for 7 days. The first day was fine, 2nd day I was getting snappy by the third day the nurses where drawing straws as to who was waking me up :-)
