Thanks for the news that Ferrer is doing well. We might get a few seconds of excepts later. Was mainly men yesterday, including Andy:j. They also concentrated on a great match with Kyle Edmund (went to 5 sets), a promising talent and a very well-balanced personality. I was annoyed with the commentators though as all kept calling him Karl instead of Kyle. Only Jim Courier got it right. Only a small thing but shows a lack of respect somehow when he's hailed as the next big UK talent and they can't even get his name right.

    Sorry, I'm a real moaning Minnie today aren't I?:o

I saw a lot of the Edmund match yesterday. Good little player. Nice to see Andy there cheering him on too.

Yes it was especially as he'd already played his own match. I think he takes the younger players under his wing. It must encourage them to know he's taking an interest in how they do:T

Kvitova still battling away. Just starting the third set so no chance of seeing Ferrer now:(. He's probably already finished anyway.

    Hi Emz,
It's good to hear you're getting a bit better now. Worrying stuff. You're doing so well with getting things paid up too! You've so much going on but you're aways so focused. I do enjoy keeping up with your antics :). MTx

Hi MT :) - good to hear from you.

CBC - Hope you got to see some good tennis today. Ferrer had an easy win :T

Got a splitting headache. Think I might have an eye infection. My eye has been bugging me all day. I've taken my contacts out and will wear my glasses all day tomorrow to see if it gets better.

Anyway, Gumtree woman turned up and I've done the overtime.

Think I might get an early night.

My only day off this week, and OH decides to "work from home". - haven't done anything of what I wanted to because he has been under my feet. I've come over to my mum's for a couple of hours to get some peace!!

I popped into Boots earlier and asked the pharmacist about my eye. He has given me some drops (which I paid for with Advantage Card points :)). I've put a couple in and it feels a bit better, so fingers crossed they will do the trick. I hate wearing my glasses and have got a splitting headache as I'm not used to them.

I'm glad your eye feels a little better, Emz:T. I haven't developed a sudden eye problem myself but really must arrange for another eye-test. Very near the top of my To Do List. I wear glasses only for reading small print, am OK without them for TV, driving etc. Had an eye test about 5 years ago and bought some glasses then which I'm still using but I think my prescription must have changed (eyesight worsened over time) as I get headaches now after doing a lot of reading. I do read a lot.

It's just a case of finding the money (car in for yet more work today:mad:), although I'm happy to buy the cheapest glasses because I hardly ever need them away from home. They're hardly a fashion statement in my case:rotfl:. SIL pays several hundreds for hers, designer frames every time:eek:. I can't afford to be vain anyway:o

Sorry OH spoiled your one day off. OH is taking my car to the garage for me so is guaranteed to be out of the way for at least 4 hours today:j. Televised tennis for me then;), I hope somebody I like is playing.

    Hi CBC

Hope your car isn't too costly today.

My glasses are the cheapest ones I could get. I only got them when I had chicken pox a few years back and had one on my eyeball , so couldn't wear my contacts for about a month. This is the same eye actually, so don't know if that's anything to do with it.

Just tried to put my contacts in and the dodgy eye lasted less than five minutes. Just couldn't tolerate it. Will have to go into work with my glasses on and carry on with the drops :(

    Enjoy the tennis :)

Overtime done - my nose was like a tap all day. I think it might be hayfever, although I've never suffered with it before. Might be why my eye is playing up too.

Just got some free tickets to see Spy on Tuesday. Haven't been to a freebie film in ages as I'm usually working. Will have to remember to refuse overtime on that day.

Well, I shall be spending most of the morning at hospital. Went to see a nurse yesterday about my eye and she recommends I go there this morning. It's driving me potty.

Can't spend too much time on the computer as my eye is so sensitive to light.
