    Thanks Lou :A

Hopefully got someone else coming for another Gumtree item later for £20.

  • Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Spoke to you very early this morning on another thread and thought you were up and about very early. I'm sorry feeling ill was the reason:(

Congratulations on the comp win. Sounds wonderful:j. And well done on your Gumtree sales, you're on a roll with that. You'll definitely smash your £10 A Day target at this rate:rotfl:

Will be thinking of you at the cemetery later.

    take care xx

I'm itching to do more comps. Just had an email to say I've won a Tedmund Ted pen. I know it's not much, but looks like a rather cute prize (and something I can use at work).

Very torn between actually earning money and entering comps.

Anyway, started writing this post around 4.30, but my lungs started playing up again (more blood :(), so never go round to finishing it.

Back home now and I've just sold one of the Gumtree items for £25. Now waiting for the £20 one to turn up.

Might have to reconsider the overtime for next week - don't want to push my lungs anymore than I have to.

The other item was collected for £20. We also went for a meal at Chimichanga, which only cost £8.85 as we used the £5 Clubcard voucher to get £20 off.

    So tired, off to bed.

Not the best night's sleep, but not the worst. Woke up once around 2am to cough up the red stuff. Hope it doesn't happen at work today. Will have to take loads of tissues with me in case.

Working 2-8. Will see how it goes and then make a decision about the overtime next week.

Common sense has prevailed and I'll continue earning money and vouchers instead of concentrating on the comps. I redeemed for a £10 Love 2 Shop voucher this morning, so my £10 a day figure is rising nicely. Will put some more stuff on Gumtree before I go to work.

  • Sounds sensible, Emz. Glad that you had a better night's sleep:T.

I think on the £10 A Day Challenge a lot of people don't count the redeemed survey money/vouchers until they've actually received them. Same with money won on bingo, Geolotto etc until it's actually withdrawn. That's what I do too, although it's a bit annoying to have lots in the pipeline, such as for stuff I've sold on Amazon, one month but the money doesn't arrive until the next:(. Even worse with some survey redemptions as they can take over a month to come:mad:. At least it kick-starts the following month's total without having to do anything:).

It's up to you to do what's best for you though:beer:. I don't think there's a right or wrong way, it's just what people advised me to do when I first joined.

I see what you mean. The way I see it is that it's make £10 extra a day, not get paid £10 extra a day. I'd rather count it as I make it, as I find that less confusing. I'll probably do the same with my overtime - calculate it on a daily basis (so on Monday, I'll be earning £20.87 extra) and add it to my total as I go along.

I know exactly what you mean and that's why I checked what others were doing because like you, I feel its logical to count it when it's 'made' rather than received;).

I think several people have had their fingers burned when expected survey payouts never materialise or vouchers go astray in the post or are never even sent:eek:. They like to be safe rather than sorry.

It doesn't matter how you do it, the money's been made and that's the only thing that counts. Just do what works best for you:beer:.

Well done on the Gumtree sales by the way:T

    Morning :)

Work was okay yesterday - went quite quickly as it was busy. I felt okay, which is the main thing. Had a few coughing fits, but nothing major. I'll try and get the overtime done this coming week.

I've hopefully got someone coming for another Gumtree item tomorrow morning, so that will be an extra £25. I've just listed another item too.

Grrr, Gumtree woman isn't coming now :(. I've listed another item on there this morning.

Busy again at work yesterday. Another 6 hours to get done today, but at least I'll be earning over £10 an hour :j
