Thanks Lou :A
I got a bit more sleep last night, so hopefully this cold/cough is finally getting better.
Work this evening, 5-8pm, so shouldn't be too bad. I've then got 3 days off, am in on Monday, and then have got another 2 days off.

Hello
Quick update as I've got to be at work at 2pm and I'm currently at my mum's house. She had a hospital appointment about her cataracts (Cataracts?? - Harry Hill's TV Burp fans will understand!!) this morning, so I've been here since 7.30am.
Still not feeling 100% - I'm getting a bit more sleep, but still only around 5 hours a night. Cough just doesn't want to go.
I finally got to the £50 mark on New Vista, so should expect a cheque at some point next month. Sold my old hoover for £50 too.
Not much else to report. Best get going or I won't have time to get ready for work.

Evening
Car went in for it's MOT today - and failed. Fortunately I don't have to pay to get it fixed. I am having to drive around in a Kia Rio until it's ready though.
£200 paid off the second lot of council tax arrears today, so that debt is down to £795.39.
It's my niece's birthday tomorrow. I'll be seeing her after school - she's having a chocolate making party in a local cafe. Should be interesting. I've got the evening off work, which can only help me get over this cough.
I slacked on the Amazon voucher earning recently, so got my sister to buy the Barbie I was planning on getting for my niece, with her Amazon vouchers. It was £17, of which I've already paid back £5.

Sorry about the car, Emz. Yours is fairly new isn't it? Bad luck on failing if so and if it has been well-maintained. Glad it won't cost you anything:j:j. Mine sailed through about 9 MOTs without even an advisory until last year when it needed a new rear exhaust. And that car has had plenty of use on very poor roads etc. I've been very lucky I guess. This last year, though, everything that could wear out has done:eek: and repairs have been a nightmare of pay, pay,pay:rotfl::mad: . MOT due next month so am dreading that and the potential expense. I'm saving like mad to buy another one but that's a long way off at the moment. Need to pay cash, would never be able to get credit from anywhere now on DMP:o. A several years old well looked after and low mileage one is all I want. Good luck on getting yours back soon, Emz.
Niece's chocolate party sounds fun:j. She is a lucky little girl. I hope you feel well to enjoy it to the full. And those arrears you are paying off are disappearing so quickly now. They'll be a thing of the past before you know it and then you can really relax. Well done:T
Take care xx0 -
Thanks CBC
- hope your car passes next month. If I had to pay for mine, I'd be totally stuffed!!
The car they've given me just guzzles petrol. I've put £6 in it and I'm still below what it was when I took it away. Hoping they call me soon so I can get my Fiesta back.
I've decided that whilst I love entering competitions, I should really be concentrating on bringing in some extra cash and vouchers at the moment. I don't really have time to fully commit to both just now.
I've joined the £10 a day thread, but don't think I'll make the £310 this month. I'm lining up some stuff to list on Gumtree and have got a few sites nearly ready to pay out.
Called my niece this morning before she went to school to wish her a happy birthday. She was really excited bless her - oh to be 8 again!!

Great to see you on the £10 A Day Challenge:T. Was over there earlier and saw your post. I do that one too, I absolutely love it there. The other members are brilliant, so helpful and supportive. They are a mine of information on all sorts of money-making ideas, I learn something new every day:j. When I started in October I only committed to £5 a day and didn't even think I'd get anywhere near making that:o. It amazed me how many little money-making ways there are, thanks to the friendly advice and tips on there.
Aesop (who runs it now) in particular is fantastic. Anything you want to know on anything money-making related (or other stuff too) just ask. Someone will have the answer, usually Aesop. She's a real star:j
By the way, you can count overtime for this challenge so that's a good start for you.
I know what you mean about comping. I love it too but can [STRIKE]spend [/STRIKE] waste so much time on it at the expense of more pressing things. Those in the know say summertime comps have less entries as people have too much else to do at that time of the year. Might make more time for it as the summer progresses;)0
