Morning - terrible night's sleep last night
. OH is going away to Turkey from tonight for a week. He's helping his mate do up his villa, so it's a free holiday for him - and a break for me too
.
I have a plan for the New York holiday, but it's a long shot. It's worth a try though and I'll post more if anything comes of it. In the meantime, the holiday has been cancelled, so it's time to concentrate on my debts again.
I'll work on paying off my two lots of council tax arrears:
Debt #1 - £1,100
Debt #2 - £995.39
So I guess I will still have to earn some extra money to put towards these, but will also enter comps too.
Another aim is to get £50 into my Amazon account for my niece's birthday presents. I've got around 3 weeks to build that up.

Thanks INOD - I'll let you know :A
So, OH has gone off on his freebie holiday. This is an ideal opportunity to save some money. I've got £8 in my purse exactly and I'd like to spend as little of it as possible over the next week. There's enough food in the house to keep me going (might have to get some bread) and I've got just under 160 miles in the car, so with some careful driving, that should last me for a bit.
I've got a couple of vouchers from the Asda price guarantee to print off which come to around £2. I also got a box of Birdseye fish thingys yesterday which have got a money back guarantee on them, so will claim that back.
My laptop battery has finally packed in, so I'll need to get another from Amazon at some point. It's not urgent (I'll get my niece's birthday presents first), but it's a bit of a pain in the backside needing to have the power plugged in all the time. It costs £33.95.

Made it through work last night, even though my chest started hurting towards the end. I've got 3 days off now.
I've worked out that I need £85.96 worth of Amazon vouchers to get my laptop battery and niece's birthday presents. I chased up a £20 Amazon voucher that I was promised and have been told that will be with me by the end of next week.
My £8 is still sat in my purse and I've got around 145 miles in the tank. I'm not planning on leaving the house tomorrow and will just come over to my mum's on Sunday, so that £8 will still be there come Monday.

Good afternoon
Probably haven't been as proactive as I should have been whilst OH has been away, but never mind. I feel better now, even though I'm still on my antibiotics. I did a 6 hour shift at work yesterday - felt tired by the end of it, but otherwise okay.
All I've spent out of my £8 is £1 for parking yesterday at work, but I found 40p of that in the car, so I've still got £7.40 in my purse. I've got 80 miles in the car, so shouldn't need to put any in until Thursday.
I've got £30 in my Amazon account, so only need just over £20 before I can order my niece's birthday presents.

Good news that you're feeling a lot better now:j but rotten that you couldn't fully enjoy your week on your own. That sounds bad, I didn't mean to suggest you were relishing a week to yourself but if you're anything like me you can get a lot more done when you've only yourself to suit. It's quite nice once in a while. OH hasn't been away for ages:(, I must start working on him:rotfl:
Good work on getting the Amazon vouchers to be almost within reach of buying your niece's present. What are you thinking of getting for her?0 -

Hi CBC
I'm getting her this (which I have just seen has dropped in price from £34.99 to £31.95, so my aim for today is to get at least £2.50 from Opinion World so I can get it) and this, plus this card
