    Good afternoon

This is literally the first chance I've had to come on here since Sunday. I worked 10-6 yesterday and then we went to see Fast & Furious 7 last night (I yawned the majority of the way through it) and I've been in work today 9-3.

MSE highlights since last time I posted:
    • Received £5 Amazon voucher from Superpoints
    • Up to 11 hours overtime done and booked in this week (just under £80 extra) - working 1-9 tomorrow now.
    • Walked into work yesterday and today to save paying £1 parking
    • Used my £2.50 worth of Nectar points on some shopping last night
Not had the time to do anything else.

  • What will you put the money saved from parking and nectar points towards?

I'll pay it off the holiday eventually, but once we get paid on Friday. Daren't make any payments at the moment or we'll have no money for food.

They've sorted out my tax code :j. I'm no longer paying any, so will be taking home £802 this month, £214 of which is overtime. Hopefully that means a rebate of £370 should be coming my way soon too.

Overtime this month already stands at £92.56 (12.75 hours - I did 29.5 last month).

  • Great news about your tax, Emz. That will certainly help your holiday fund:T.

Getting a rebate from the Taxman is so much more satisfying than from anywhere else IMO;)

    Thanks CBC and Lou :)

Don't think I'll get much overtime next week as a girl I work with has had all hers cancelled due to lack of funds.

My Giff Gaff sim card is all up and running, so I'll start entering comps again now that my number is sorted.

Working hours over the next few days are:

    Friday 5-8
    Saturday 11-5
    Sunday 11-5
    Monday 2-8
    Tuesday 4-8

  • I thought M&S were on a roll, what with better profits this last quarter. How come they are strapped for cash now? Sorry if it has put an end to your overtime:(

Good luck with the comps:beer:. I received a parcel with some solar garden lights in yesterday:j. They're really nice and expensive-looking and will be very useful but I haven't a clue where they came from:(. No paperwork whatsoever in the box and no letter, phonecall or email at any point to tell me I'd won them. Obviously a runner-up prize from some comp I must have entered months ago. I've been trying to track it down all day but still haven't a clue. I make a note of comps I enter but don't record all the possible runner-up prizes as some comps have loads. I'm very grateful for them, though:j

TBH, I'm not sure if it's just because of the girl that the OT has been taken from her. She's a temp and, although she's a nice girl, she's not that great at the job. Took me 45 minutes to sort out the mess she'd created in the fitting room the other day.

Well done on winning the solar lights :T - it's lovely to receive unexpected prizes :)
