Thanks CBC :) - I've ordered a Giff Gaff sim card, so will start using that when it arrives.

Bit annoyed with myself. I did some surveys on My Survey and was able to redeem. I saw 500 Nectar points on there and thought that would be good to have. It was only after I redeemed them that I remembered 500 points is only £2.50 :wall: - I should have redeemed for a £5 Amazon voucher instead. Lesson learned!!

    MSE highlights of the day:
    • Will have £2.50 on my Nectar card soon (trying to look on the bright side!!).
    • Dissuaded OH from going out for a meal tonight
    • Worked 2-8
    • Ordered a Giff Gaff sim card

I was caught out like that with Nectar points too, Emz, I suspect a lot of people fall into the same trap:(. Like you, I won't be doing that again!

Nectar sometimes do a Double Up promotion like Tesco (I think it is at Sainsbury's but don't know much about it:o). I think there's one on at the moment. Not much help am I? Might be worth checking it out though
  • I always do all the buy this and get extra points for nectar and then think afterwards they are worth about 25p!

    highly annoying!

    Nevertheless she persisted.

Evening - so tired, must get an early night.

    MSE highlights of the day:
    • Claimed a £2.50 Amazon voucher
    • Got my sister's Easter egg using £2.50 worth of Nectar points (not the ones I got yesterday, some I already had), so only paid 50p for it
    • Got a £1.50 off £10 spend voucher whilst I was there, so used that to buy some shopping
    • Listed my Wii on Gumtree (TBH, I don't have time to use it anymore and I get more exercise now I'm at work)
    • Worked 4-8

    Evening :)

Not much time for MSE activities today as OH has had a couple of medical appointments.

    MSE highlights of the day:
    • Claimed a £5 Amazon voucher
    • Got a couple of MS jobs for next week worth £10 each
I would say I'll try and get more done tomorrow, but OH is going sick, I'm doing the school run in the morning (last time for 2 weeks :j) and I'm working 3-8 (including 2 hours overtime).

I calculated that I did about £210 of overtime last month, so hoping for a nice pay day a week Friday.

My Giff Gaff sim card has arrived, but I don't have enough spare cash to top it up just yet, so will continue using my current one until I get paid.

Before I go to bed, I've just received the £3 Amazon voucher from Swagbucks, so have sent that to my sister. Just £2.50 to go now and I will get that tomorrow from Opinion World.

    Night night :)

  • You're doing well with the surveys, Emz:T. I don't know whether the frequency of surveys I'm not screened out of (used to happen all the time:( ) has increased but I'm on the verge of being able to redeem on several. I'm sure it took a lot longer to accrue the points last time around so I'm very pleased. Am within a couple more surveys of redeeming a £50 cheque from one (their only redemption level:mad:) and maybe one more of the minimum 1000 points level at GlobalTest Market:j. Then there's the long long wait for the money/vouchers to actually arrive!

Just seen the latest trading reports for M&S. First trading profit on clothes in 14 quarters. I know you've been working hard, Emz, so it's obviously paid off ;)

Yes you are doing well on the survey front.
I just find them so mind blowingly boring & it seems to take forever to get anywhere.

Me too Lou. I try and do them whilst I'm on my nebuliser or watching the TV.

We've spent most of the morning at Mini ordering my new car.

I'm a bit behind on my surveys, so will have to catch up with them tonight/tomorrow. I did manage to claim another £2.50 voucher this morning though and have sent that to my sister, which clears the money I owed her for the kid's Easter presents.

I've also got another MS job for next week worth £8.
