    Hi CBC

That sounds awful - I used to deliver papers when I was younger and that was bad enough. Well done you for getting it done though :)

OH has got 4 paydays before the money is due, and he brings in around £2.2k a month, so we could manage to pay off £1k from each one and still pay all the bills etc.

I've just got another 5 hours overtime on Friday (my sister is off so I don't have to do the school run). I did have an MS job booked in, but have changed it to tomorrow so I can do both. The MS job is only a £3.75 fee, but there's a £7.50 spend on a clothing item, so I could try and sell that on eBay.

I've already got nearly £90 overtime booked in this month.

Thanks for that, Emz. I only did it because I'm in such desperate need of the money, though:o. I wouldn't be doing it otherwise;).
It made me think of your thread title actually. Likes and dislikes are of no consequence in my case, it's just a case of biting the bullet and getting on with it when I'm in such dire straits with my finances.

You sound a bit more upbeat in your latest post. You'll get there in the end:A
  • I hope you haven't been too busy making money to watch the Davis Cup, Emz:p

It's been lovely to see Andy so animated and supportive of the whole team this weekend.
  • I (and I'm sure all your other followers on here) hope you are OK. We worry about you when you stay so quiet for so long:sad:

Hi - sorry CBC and everyone else.

I am fine, but I guess I just don't feel right posting on here at the moment.

    Thanks everyone :)

I'm absolutely fine, so please don't worry. I just don't feel right posting on here about paying off this holiday when so many people on here are paying off their debts.

I think a large part of me knows that we shouldn't really be going on this holiday and that's what I'm struggling with.

(BTW, we've got 3 new additions to our household - degus - they're so cute).
  • Oh, Emz, please don't worry about anything like that.

We know your situation isn't the same as ours, with your illness battle and everything. All your friends are here for you come what may so please don't think we'll be judging you for ticking off some of your bucket list while you have the chance to do so in good health.

In the same position we'd probably all do exactly the same.

Please come back to us soon. There, I've got my bossy hat on this morning:rotfl:
