Am listening to the radio commentary on the Australian Open website. The Murray-Dimitrov match is a cracker. Might be nearing the end though. Andy seems to be back in control:j
Hi CBC
Very tense match. Pleased to see Murray come through in the end. He's playing very well at the moment, so fingers crossed. It's the first match he's had that has been on at a decent time, so I'm glad I've got the day off to watch it.
I hope Ferrer does well against Nishikori tomorrow.

What platform do you watch it on? We don't have Sky or any paid-for ways of seeing sport:mad:. The radio commentary on the Australian Open website was pretty good though and I could see all the on-screen stats etc at the same time.
Must make sure to tune in when Ferrer plays although it will probably be the middle of the night here:(. He doesn't have a very good record against Nishikori so I'm hoping for a superhuman effort from him.0 -

We've got Sky, so I watch it on there. I think Ferrer's playing about 3am tomorrow morning

Hi everyone
Sorry I haven't been posting on here much. Firstly though, big well done to Mr Murray for reaching another Grand Slam final :T. I've got a good feeling about this tournament - I think he can win it!! Shame I've got to work on Sunday, but I should be able to watch the first set before I have to leave. I'm considering hiring someone to stand in the shop with a phone so I can get regular updates!!
Secondly, it's confession time!! OH and I have booked a holiday - and it's a big one. It's OH's 40th this year and he has been wanting to go on holiday for ages. I'm almost not wanting to say how much it's costing, so I'll put it in tiny letters (£6k).
I know it's a lot of money, but it will mean I can cross 3 things off my bucket list. We'll be flying first class to and from New York, we'll be visiting Washington overnight and we're going to watch the US Open whilst we're there.
Part of me feels like it's totally crazy and we shouldn't be doing it, but another part feels that I'm not going to be in a position to do things like this forever. Eventually my health will deteriorate so much that I'm not going to be well enough to do the things I want to do - and that's not me being pessimistic, just realistic.
We need to pay for it by 8th June and we go at the end of August. I'm going to try and earn as much money online as I can to help pay for it. I was going to create a website a couple of months back about my bucket list and hoping to raise money for it (not asking for donations, just trying to make money from the website), so I will get that up and running hopefully tomorrow.
Confession time over

Wow Emz, that sounds incredible! I understand what you mean about wanting to do stuff NOW so you can actually enjoy it whilst you're still healthy enough to. I want to go to Thailand And Bali, OH wants to go to Japan. Financially, we can't afford it at all now or in the next few years, physically, I won't be able to stay away from the UK for long enough to go that far in say 10 years time. I kind of think sod it let's book it and we'll have to find the money, but we'll see what happens. Thets my 30th next year, perhaps we can aim to tick one of them off then!0

Thanks everyone - I want what I'm paying off the holiday to be extra income so that I can still use my wages to pay money off some debts. OH is going to be paying off quite a bit too, so I'm going to try and match him.
I've joined the February £10 a day challenge, but am aiming for £600 for the month, which will all be paid off the holiday.
I'm working today. Was supposed to be 2-8 but they've asked if I can start at 12, so that's a couple of extra hours pay. I'm also working an extra hour on Monday (2-9). Not long to go until my training period is up too, which means my pay goes to over £7 an hour (about 50p an hour more I think). It's at the end of March.
