Holiday sounds wonderful, Emz. Will be a perfect tonic after your health issues this past year plus working so long and hard in your new job. The way you have planned to fund both it and your debts is admirable.
Just a thought (me being nosy:o). Were you planning to get married in the near future? If it was to be before your holiday there would be a good chance that the airline would upgrade you to First Class with no extra charge. Doesn't always happen but I know 2 newly-married couples who flew across the Atlantic on honeymoon, told someone at the airlines involved (not sure who/when, would have to check) and they were directed straight into First Class and were made a real fuss of:T
Go Andy tomorrow:beer:0 -
Hi Emz:wave:
We haven't heard anything from you since last day of January so I hope everything is well with you:coffee:0 -
Sorry I haven't posted. Just been working quite a bit (6 days in a row) and haven't really been earning anything extra, which is very naughty of me
Anyway, I'm going to try and motivate myself to earn some more to start paying these debts down again and pay this holiday off. I'm not going to do the website, as I think it would take too much time and effort to get it to start earning anything like decent money, so I'm better off concentrating on other areas.
I get paid on Tuesday, so I'm going to see if I can match my earnings before my next payday. I'm getting £599.97 after tax, so that's my target.

The overtime that I've done and have got lined up this month already amounts to just over £100.

ETA - Make that £125 - there's a lot of hours to cover at the moment!!0 -
Glad to hear that you're OK:T
Discarding the website plan seems sensible but just make sure that you don't work so hard on other things that you make yourself ill. Sorry to be bossy:o, it's just that we all care about you.0 -
I hope you're not working too hard and wearing yourself out, Emz
Your green light on here never seems to be on these days, we miss your updates:sad:.
Take care X0 -

Hi everyone
Sorry I haven't posted. I'm at work as we speak (on my break) and have been doing lots of hours.
Will post a proper update tonight.

Evening
So, I have been doing lots of hours recently and as a result haven't been online as much. I'm currently on around £200 worth of overtime for this month (including hours that I have agreed to do but haven't yet done). I'm working 12-8 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week, but have got the weekend off.
I seriously need to pull my finger out and start paying money off this holiday. As it's nearly the end of February, we've got 3 months to pay it off, which is £2k a month . I've no idea how we're going to do it, but where there's a will and all that.
I also test drove a Mini yesterday morning and loved it, so it looks like that will be my next car. OH is going to sell his car to fund it and says that he will save to buy it off Motability when I get another car.
Had a major problem with the headlights on my current car the other day and Ford were absolutely rubbish when it came to sorting it out, so I'm loathed to get another car from them.
Anyway, Operation Pay Off Extortionate Holiday (or OPOEH for short) starts tomorrow.
