Good morning
Firstly, the VERY exciting news - I received a letter from Mr Wimbledon today and he has given me tickets :j:j:j. They are for the 1st July on Court One. We're going to wait and see if my sister gets better tickets, but otherwise we will be going. Hope it's a sunny day
Anyway, OPOEH has commenced, even though I didn't get chance to post yesterday. I paid £20 off yesterday and £30 off today. I know I need to pay a lot more off than that, but it's a start.
I got a couple more hours overtime for a week Saturday, so I'm over the £200 mark for overtime this month. I'm also now working 1-9 today. I'm so ready for some time off!!
Tomorrow morning I'm going to see Penguins of Madagascar with my sister and the kids. The tickets were free and they haven't seen it yet, so should be good.

Time to start getting serious about paying this holiday off. Once this is paid off, I can start concentrating on paying those debts off again (although I am pleased to say I've still paid £450 off them this month).
So, I've come up with some ways to get the balance down to £3,000 over the next 3 months. The remaining £3,000 will be paid by my OH from his wages.
I don't know how realistic these amounts are to earn over the course of 3 months, so I might have to tweak the figures a bit. They add up to £2,950, which will mean I've paid off half of the holiday.

I wish you well with achieving this target, Emz:beer:
Do you already have some points in YouGov or do you think you can make £50 in just 3 months? You must be in a very popular demographic if so as it takes me about a year or just over to reach my £50 payout:eek: and I answer every survey I receive.
What a pity AQA has ceased to be a good income source for you. I used to envy your success on there. They never seemed to be recruiting every time I checked:mad: but from what people say about it now I'm glad I didn't waste my time on it.0 -

Hi CBC
I just added You Gov on to make up the numbers TBH - that's the one that I really don't think is achievable.
I've just remembered that I forgot Opinion World though, so will replace You Gov with that

Anyone around to give me a kick up the backside please? :wall:
97 days to go until the holiday has to be paid for and I've made no progress  (although I have been working a fair amount over the past few days). It's not as if I don't have a good incentive to earn the cash.
I'm going to try dividing it into £50 chunks (so only 119 to go) and just pay off as much as I can.
I'm not starting work until 4.45pm tomorrow, so have got most of the day at home. A to-do list is called for. I'll get my thinking cap on and post it later this evening.

Prepare to be kicked. You have booked a truly amazing holiday that deals with quite a few things that will mean a lot to you and create truly amazing memories IF you aren't having to worry about money while you're away. Otherwise, you'll shortchange yourself on the enjoyment side. You also owe it to yourself to be able to just kick back
You've made a start with your list. I wanna see anticipated returns for those activities. Also did you ever query your tax code?Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Thanks for the kick INOD
.
I think I need to look at how much money I can make on things. Clixsense for example I don't think is worth my while. I've been trying to complete the checklist for the last hour or so and I just can't. I get screened out of all the surveys and the offers don't always register.
I think I'll give that one a miss from now on. I've cashed out the money I had in there (about £5), but it's not worth my precious time.
I've just picked up a large article on Textbroker, which will get me around £9.50.
The stuff I'm sending off to We Buy Books (mostly competition wins) will sell for £8.66.
So my running total for the day currently stands at £15.51 (around £40 if I include the TB article and my 3 hours overtime).

Sorry, Emz, for not being around for a few days. Been doing some BT Phonebook delivering for the past week despite saying 'never again' after the last time:(. Usually do rural routes which are a pain driving-wise (I fear for the suspension of the car down all the potholed tracks and use far more petrol than the allowance they give us) but I quite enjoy seeing how the other half live when I go to big manor house type farms etc. Envious, moi??????. This time I had 2 routes in my local market town instead. Total nightmare, nowhere to park (always seems to be market day, narrow streets clogged with traffic so nowhere to park within miles of the delivery areas, plus traffic wardens galore:eek:). I don't mind the extra walking but it's all the carrying. Must have looked like a bag-lady pushing a big shopping trolley someone loaned me but it made things a bit easier. The pittance they pay won't be sent until after 24th of the month either:mad:
Sorry for the rant but I'm here now to give you the requested kick up the backside. Not that you need it, you are an inspiration to lots of people with your attitude and unwillingness to let things get you down. Can't someone (a relative perhaps) lend you the money to give you a bit longer to pay it back? It's racing against time that's the killer, isn't it? This is a holiday of a lifetime (which you truly deserve:A) so don't let the preliminaries do anything to take the shine off it.0
