No it doesn't. Read the T&Cs and see what you have not done correctly.

You must pay the £1,000 after the switch - not before. The £1k can include the balance from your old account. So pay in £1k today if you can as you are close to the 31 day deadline.

You may be ok – but you haven’t complied with the terms of the offer!

name or held jointly with someone else)."

Got a letter from CB saying my account is up and running and a letter addressed to somebody else stapled together.

Just to let you know, Simon F, your account is also open and running. Will post it to you once have a chance.

Shall I ask CB for a compensation of postal fees and my hurted feelings?

Which current account is it you tried to open? Direct or Plus?
