Is there any logic to this.

Both my switch dates and £1,000 credit transfers were earlier than you - and still no sign of the £150.

And I have actually been using mine for payments/cash withdrawals etc.

Almost feels like I am being penalised for using the account as a current account :D- others who switched and paid in the £1k and took it all out the next day seem to have got their £150 much faster!

With reference to my post yesterday: the only thing I can think of is that I put in £1000 BEFORE the switch date as well to set up payments

So in summary I put in 1k before my switch day and 1k on the day of the switch day.
Maybe the trigger was the first 1k? Not sure...

Will let you know on the next incentive...

I have just switched another account to YB Plus, I asked the lady I was talking to about how many of these accounts can be opened and qualify for the switch incentive, she told me there was no limit as long as the reasons given for opening the account where valid reasons that they accepted. So there are no account opening limits, you just may need to be creative with your reasons.

Overall the process for setting up the bank account wasn't as bad as some have experienced.

    30 min phonecall.
Sign and return account mandate + switch forms.
Wait for them to process it.
    Receive debit card.
    Register for online banking.
    Request security token.

I think what people have to take into account is with this offer they are dealings with applications way beyond what they normally would, there is probably not the staff or systems in place to deal with it effectively.

Perhaps they didn't envisage such a large take up. I mean, it's not like they're paying the biggest switching incentive in recent times is it? Oh, hang on...

They were one of the last adopters of internet banking, but had telephone banking long before that, so it could be Telephone Banking.

However, if I was guessing (and bearing in mind they like to live in the past), I'd go for "Transfer (by) BACS".

But then again, TB is preceded by the word "immediate" on the statement...and BACS was never immediate!

I now have my debit card and pin. When I recieved my letter that confirmed my account was up and running, they said that there was a leaflet enclosed, which there was not.
Last night I decided to download the mobile app, got access to my account and registered for mobile and internet banking, after trying to set a password for an hour that constantly told me it was too weak. Whatever I used did not work. Eventually, after going through the registration process twice, it finally worked, using a symbol in the password.
Anyhow, I have searched the forum regarding security tokens. What are they, and do I need one. Am I able to transfer 1000.00 in without it? If not, how do I get one? Tia.

To anyone who has opened an account and requested a transfer in branch- are you asked to sign all the forms then or do they post more to you?

How do I order my security token?
Once you have completed your internet banking registration and have logged in, the security token request option is available within the administration section. This will provide you with all the information you need to order your security token and bank online with confidence.

You should be able to transfer £1000 in.

Took me 5 seconds to google. You should do that next time ;)

I don't think that they are looking into it any more than having a box on their screen with options to complete? Just looking at Halifax (same as Lloyds and TSB) options are:

    Benefits Payment
    Bills/Expenses
    Capital Raising (Scottish Widows)
    Inheritence
    Probate
    Salary/Pension/Other Regular Income
    Savings
    Spending Money
    Student

Now I know they are a different company/bank, but they are likely to have similar options to complete the application form? I am speaking without having phoned for additional accounts yet, but few have reported a grilling?

Thanks. I could have googled it if I had thought to, but I find the advice far better from the guys on this forum.
