I gave up on this one. Whenever I called they were too busy to talk and wanted to arrange callbacks. Twice their callbacks came after the agreed slot. No follow up calls on the final one when they said they'd try again. I can't be bothered to continue beating my head against a poor service wall for the £100. Perhaps they were too busy fielding calls for everyone else with their 2nd and 3rd accounts to switch.

    £150*

Funnily, because I am Deaf I use Typetalk and I refuse to take calls - it's too much hassle with Typetalk. Told them I only give calls, and it needs to be sorted while we are still on the phone...they got me through straight away...because I'm 'special' ;)

    Extra £1,000 paid in 19/12

No £150 yet, must be imminent though!

Would have thought mine would have been paid sooner than yours as I switched before you (£1000 pay in same date).

    Maybe tomorrow...?

Is there any logic to this.

Both my switch dates and £1,000 credit transfers were earlier than you - and still no sign of the £150.

And I have actually been using mine for payments/cash withdrawals etc.

Almost feels like I am being penalised for using the account as a current account :D- others who switched and paid in the £1k and took it all out the next day seem to have got their £150 much faster!

Can I ask which would be a good account to be open in terms of speed just to use for a switch later?

    Any recommendations?

A basic bank account is probably quickest and easiest to set up. Some require branch visits (e.g. Barclays and Coop) but most don't

TSB, Nationwide and FD are pretty much instant when opened online. To my knowledge.
£47605.33 outstanding in C.C (£8000 Interest free till January 2025)
