Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

Unless tried and tested to prove otherwise, it's best to assume that payments between banks under the same umbrella count as internal transfers (they do with Lloyds, Halifax and BOS).
Anyone got an account with both Co-op and Smile and sent a payment between them? Shown as an internal transfer?
Ahhh thanks!
Tbf, Im more thinking of looking at the future, more than any thing else, so I don't mind trying this myself for a couple of months (ie: pay in very little, move money about, see what happens) But for the first couple, transfer money in from a bank that's DEFINITELY external
I thought that it'd be OK to transfer from CB to YB, but I guess no one knows
I mean the other day, Lloyds tried to charge me £30 for transferring money to BOS, in branch, and I said "What, even though they're a part of the Lloyds banking group I'd be charged??"
Here's what Lloyds say:
http://www.lloydsbank.com/charges/services.asp
CHAPS payment:
Same day transfer to accounts held at any other bank - £30
And I was told yes, I would, so it'd be best doing it online...0 -
No, they are one and the SAME Bank.waqasahmed wrote: »Had a look through and it did answer my first question, though I was more getting at if say
I transferred £1000 in every month from YB and then back to CB, would I still get my 2% AER (I know there's better places to put your money, but you can...run out of places where to put your money)

Re Co-op and Smile - no they don't work as internal transfers, at least not in my experience. I have both, and despite the identical login (with same security info) they behave separately.
Indeed transferring Co-op to Smile, using Fast Payment, often takes 24 hours for some reason best known to Smile and Co-op. Whereas Smile to Smile is instant.
Whether that's relevant to Clydesdale - Yorkshire I have no idea, it may just be some weird Co-op thing.0 -
Is it still true that you can get bonuses on 3+ accounts?
Also is it ok to use basic accounts to switch? Or are there reasons not to do that?0 -
CB
2 x Current Plus
YB
1x Current Direct
1 x Current Plus
I think someone said 4 is the limit so will see if i get the bonus on all of them, worth a shot. Did two at cyldesdale in one call.
