    I used this one.

The lady even offered to call me back as she could see I was on a mobile, but I told her I had minutes to use.

It only occurred to me earlier that the question about what you want the account for is a normal current account application question (as included on the Lloyds, TSB and Halifax online application forms - Current account, savings, etc - various options).

It may be that they are more inquisitive - but if they ask the question if you have more accounts to switch, surely the answer has to be yes ;).

Though as I still haven't received the switching pack for my account opened in November despite numerous calls I wonder if I have been tagged and may as well not bother ... I know, sounding like a broken record now!
  • Well my account has been switched but I'm not a happy bunny!

Despite receiving a letter stating that all my bill payments would be transferred across they haven't been (dds seem fine though) and the help desk was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard....no scrub that a chocolate fireguard would have been more use.

Dislike their internet banking and the jury's out on the mobile banking - can't use it because I've got no payees (wonder why that is!)

Its only been a week and already I'm missing Halifax!

i think their online banking is fine..

but the customer service is amazingly weak. their management of account transfers is hard to understand..i have been told that they are unable to look into queries re. transfers, as "The Sales Team" manage it, and they are likely to take "3 to 5 Working Days" to be able to look into it.

surely a simple "is the transfer from xyz account still going ahead, as it hasn't happened as planned?"ought to be possible without reference to the sales team:think:

    Raise a complaint?

All bar one of mine were transferred, and they sent me a separate letter about the one that failed. All mine were just payees, no DDs.
  • I've opened another Current Plus with Yorkshire Bank today, no hassle :)
