Yeh another incentive otherwise I am not interested in opening up another account. Got a Co-Op account which is not being used so I thought I transfer that over to Clydesdale.
I am sure the adviser will ask reasons for opening up another account. Just trying to get my response ready.0 -

IIRC, the posts in this thread determined that you can't get two incentives.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -

Ohh I must have missed that then. I did read in this thread you can open up another account for incentive as long as their are not 2 Current Account Directs.0 -

Based on this Current account Direct and readycash should be fine?0 -
I have got as far as a letter saying my account is up and running (woohoo!).
Mistakes so far included them putting an address from 3 years ago down as my correspondence address, not included the second copy of the forms as the cover letter stated, and not including the Good to Know brochure with the most recent letter.
Just rang them up and they have an automated message saying that if you are ringing after a letter requesting extra documents, to ignore it as it was sent in error. Lols
You think they would have got sufficient trained staff in place to cope with the extra demand. Seems like it is general chaos there!0 -
Just thought I would add my experience to this thread.
I checked the YB website and there is no way to open an account online which I think is odd but I filled in the "call me back" webform rather than phone myself.
I was called by the Harrogate Branch (my details were passed on from a central office) exactly as requested on the day I specified and the time window and I couldn't deal with it then as it happened but they said here is the direct Branch phone number call us back or we can call you again. I think this is the first time in ages I have been able to call a branch so I did. Phone answered straight away and I was put through to the lady who I had previously spoken to.
Application process very straight forward and paperwork arrived today to sign.
So far I am pretty impressed with YB especially the Direct Branch phone number and my account will be managed/held at the Harrogate Branch but I am on the Isle of Wight!
I think I might see how these people pan out as so far I quite like how it has gone. What I mean is stay and open a NatWest account to act as a donor account for any other opening incentives that might pop up.
Mine is the Current Account Plus. They even asked if I'd like a Credit Card offering 19 months 0% on purchases.0 -
Anyone wanting to call their local branch,(YB, not sure about CB), dial 0141 9582***, the last three digits should be the last three numbers of local branch sort code, mine worked.
.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

Tsb in Newport (IOW) gave me their direct number too. Much less hassle to open than this Yorkshire malarkey, though good you have had a smooth experience.
It has made me rethink switching out though.. going to keep it in case they ever offer anything good so I don't have to do all this again!0 -
I have now had my formal account opening letter (just one side of A4) - about a week after I sent my switch forms back.
My account is now 'up and running' - and I should have a debit card etc in 10 days and be able to register for internet banking. I will even get a cheque book?
However the letter refers to a Good to Go welcome brochure which tells me all about how the account works - which is not enclosed. Anyone know what this covers?
They must be stretched as their mailouts are a bit chaotic - this isn't the first time the mailout from them hasn't included what the letter states is enclosed.
I just wonder if the letter enclosing my debit card - will actually contain a debit card?0 -
I bet they have had an influx of applicants with the £150 incentive. Perhaps they are farming out applications to branches as was my case to cope with the workload.0
