    Hi all

Slightly off-topic apologies, though it would be quicker to ask here.

If I apply for the Readycash account over the phone without wanting to transfer an old account for the incentive, would I still need to sign and return paperwork, or will the account be confirmed during the call and the card and pin sent out?

You'll still need to send back the Customer Mandate Form with a specimen signature.
  • A new glitch which may affect some of you. There is a "known problem" where some Debit Card PIN notifications are blank :(

Just phone them up and ask for it to be re-sent. The nice call centre lady said that there is no way to do this online.
Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

    the grief continues
19/11 opened CB direct account. No problems
23/11 tried to open a YB plus. "No you can't". Eventually the lad saw the error of his ways and we proceeded. It was a 'refer' decision' (Much to his delight). Chased a week later. "Approved". Nothing received. Phoned just. "It's still with the u/writer - will ring you back "
Just - "you can't have a YB and CB account"
Asked where it said this and "my Manager told me".
He is now checking the T&C with his manager and will come back

    ...............yawn..........

Now I have my account number and sort code I thought I would try and register for internet banking online. That’s enough for most banks – but not them.

    http://www.ybonline.co.uk/personal/internet-banking/register/

You either require a telephone banking access code or your debit card before you can register – the latter taking up to 10 days to arrive after your account is finally opened. And then you will have to wait several more days for an activation code.

Hard work isn’t the word for it!:D

Tried to register for online banking tonight using my debit card,no such luck, bottom of first page, click next and nothing happens. Also it's a very strange system for entering your details, dob has three separate lines for day month and year.Has anybody managed to register for online banking online or resorted to the 0844 number?

How far in advance have people been specifying the date for the account switch, given that there's no exact time frame on when the account will be fully setup and how long YB/CB will take to process the form?

I registered for telephone and internet banking over the phone. It was straight forward. They said I will be sent with my internet banking activation code.

Received my debit card today and letter from M&S saying account being switched over.

Thanks starM,I have found a message on their website saying people are having problems registering online if they are using their I Pad with IOS 8 installed. Will call and do it over the phone, everything seems a bit backward compared to other banks!

    I'm losing the will :(

I won't bore everyone with the details again (in post 309 on previous page) but I'm now waiting for the 3rd Welcome Pack (or whatever it is called) to arrive.

This, I am assured, was issued today with guaranteed next day delivery. But then that's what I was told about 2nd Pack on 4th December .

It is only the prospect of receiving £150 sometime in the next decade which keeps me going ;)
