Phoned last Tuesday, paperwork arrived today. Quite surprised that half of the material provided were photocopies, looked very unprofessional. But if thats how they cut costs to pay me £150, carry on!0

It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Can someone clarify. If you already have a current account direct account with either Clydesdale or Yorkshire, can you open a different current account and do a switch to qualify for the £150 ?
As both banks are the same company I was told you cannot have two Direct accounts, but can have a Direct and a Plus and if using their switching service from two different current accounts you will receive the £150 incentive twice if you deposit £1000 within 31 days of the switch, I have done this and have two accounts open, the Direct has the switch completed and the Plus will switch next Wednesday, 10th December, I will have to wait and see if they are as good as their word and I receive two x £150.
Both accounts opened in branch immediately with account numbers and sort code given to me at the same time, no waiting for the postal service.

Really sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but:
I already have a fully active Direct Current Account with Clydesdale.
However, if I opened another standard current account (either with Clydesdale or Yorkshire), and then did a full switch from another account into it, would I qualify for the £150?0 -

Is this with Yorkshire or Clydesdale?
I was told this over the phone bearing in mind it was answered as "Yorkshire Bank", but I asked if it was Clydesdale as that was who I wanted to open the second acc with, and was told they service both banks, I answered all of the questions and was told the pack would be sent, (as of this moment I have not received the pack and I made the call last Wednesday).
On Monday this week I rang may local Yorkshire branch and was given the same info, I made an appointment for the afternoon and opened my second acc,(a Plus), my first acc, (a Direct)was opened in branch the previous Monday and the same details where used to open this account, so I am hoping that I will receive 2 x £150, but until the money is in the account it is just a waiting game.

I already have a Current Direct. I phoned and the advisor checked it over. As I have been paying in £1000 a month, I could not qualify for £150 from YB or CB. I could still have opened a Plus or Ready Cash but I thought better of it!
Perhaps it will work for you, Derrick, as you applied as a new customer in quick succession. Let us know when the 60 days post switch has elapsed.0 -

Surely it is worth appying for an extra account , after all it won,t actually cost you anything and you have the potential of £150.00 for very little work, bearing in mind it is the use of their switching service that triggers the cash incentive.

Anyone received account opening confirmation once sending in all the signed documents?0
