Applied Weds 19th and still waiting for the documentation. Does it normally take this long?I applied Tuesday 18th. Rang up and was told the documents were sent out last week!!!!!
Applied Friday 21st and was told docs would be with me by Tuesday. Nothing yet...
ETA Nothing today (Fri 28th) either - maybe they're just overwhelmed with applications!0 -
Have received the paperwork and the Customer Mandate has my middle name as my forename, my first name as my surname and my whole name in completely the wrong order.
Can I cross them out, write them in correctly and return the signed form, or do I need to ring them and get them to redo the paperwork. I can't face the call to be honest and they'll probably pull the offer before I get a second copy0 -
0800202122 - Freephone No Yorkshire Bank - go for both YB and CB
Was on the phone for 28 mins in total, lovely lassy took my details etc.
Being a housewife was fine, and the lady said I could have any of their accounts that I wanted.
I went for the basic readycash account. My Natwest account for the switch went in fine. I asked how long for the paperwork to arrive, and was told by mid next week.
The £150 was mentioned by the lady numerous times. So far so good!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
I got my forms today – dated before I went into the bank to provide proof of ID and address. Did I waste my time entirely going into a branch for no reason?
The letter includes the following forms (for completion and return?) along with other leaflets etc:
Customer mandate current account details – prepopulated with my new account details but which doesn’t seem to need signing
Customer mandate form – which does need signing and dating
Current account switch service form ‘personal’ – not prepopulated so you have to write your new account and switch account (incl debit card number) in plus date of birth, nationality
Current account Switch service – account closure instruction - again not prepopulated but just needs your new account/switch account and signature
However the covering letter refers to the following extra form for signing and returning – which isn’t included?
‘Current account switch agreement’
Does anyone know what that final item is or looks like?
Why so many forms – its very confusing – and why not prepopulated given they already have the details?:(0 -
missed a call from Clydesdale (account fully open) today ("no need to ring back"). What was that about then - just a 'hello call' ?
(Still waiting for the underwriting decion from the Yorkshire)0 -

They're all really similar forms. The switch agreement one is just a 2 page document that gives your consent to switch and requires you to enter your old account number and sort code, your new account number and sort code, your preferred switch date and your signature, printed name and date on the second page.
They seem to be sending out incomplete packs all over the place - the whole thing looks like it is becoming a farce at the moment! Have you actually been provided with an envelope?0 -

My letter said to retain the Customer Mandate Account Details, the Current Account Switch Guarantee and Switch Guide. plus other literature.
And to send in Switch Service Form, Switch agreement, and account Closure instructions.
Posted now to avoid the Xmas deliveries.0 -

However what you think is the ‘current account switch agreement’ looks to be the same as the ‘Current account switch service form personal’ i.e. new account no/sort code, switch channel (e.g. face to face or by post), preferred switch date, switch account sort code, A/C No and old debit card details on page 1 and name, date of birth, signature on page 2?
Are these two separate forms as the covering letter suggests– or the same thing?
I can’t face calling them again to check.
PS I got an envelope!:D0 -

They're separate forms that ask for the same thing - essentially. The switch agreement one just asks for the things that I said.0
