I'm not sure it's worth the effort to apply now. If they insist on a visit to the branch then there is no point as the distance and time taken will not be worth it for the £150 switch incentive.0

Got my paperwork today (telephone application on 20th Nov)...four forms to sign off and return.
Despite their exhaustive ID checks, they had my address slightly wrong
They wanted the old and new account numbers (for switching) on all of them and I couldn't understand why they hadn't just pre-populated them
No date for switch had been discussed on the phone and so I put "asap"0 -

Did you get a prepaid envelope with your docs that the letter says to send them back in? I know someone who got their pack today but without an envelope so they phoned and was given a freepost number to add to the address to send them back.0 -
Yep, freepost envelope included0

Hi all,
Which way is fast by phone or visiting branch0 -
Hi all,
Which way is fast by phone or visiting branch to open an account0 -
Does it have a freepost licence number on it? Apparently it is RSGU-XTSX-KKJT.
I didn't have a pre-paid envelope included.
I was given a different freepost reference.
Account opening process is slow, but we're getting there.
Other family members who applied after me received their paperwork before me. Most of the paperwork is identical but a couple of us didn't get our new account number and sort code included in the pack. One of us got a load of leaflets too.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
