Anybody who switched away from CB/YB received a "courtesy call" from them? I was at work at the time so didn't have time to talk, just wondered what they were asking.
I got a call yesterday. I agreed to speak to him, he had a Scots accent.
Then he said he couldn't proceed without me passing security and asked name, DOB, address and postcode.
I said but you called me!
He said no problem if you don't want to take the call. Will just put a note on your file about it and it wasn't anything important.0 -

I applied under the old terms. Did everyone get a leaflet with the full terms of the cash reward offer with their application form? I just got the application form, account terms and switching terms but the cover letter said "pay in at least £1000 within 31 days of your switch completing".
Means I didn't know the first £1000 had to be a single payment. I made a £1 payment to check the online transfer was set up OK then a £999 payment, both on the same day.
Still no £150 after 66 days. What should I do?0 -

It didn't. http://www.cbonline.co.uk/resources/0956a153-3298-45a4-93e9-2d502d2bd3a4/CB-current-account-switch-offer-CB0816.pdf
"...credit your account with at least £1000 within 31 calendar days following your switch completion date, provided that this does not include any internal transfers..."
Nowhere does it say the £1000 has to be in one payment.jonnybravo147 wrote: »Still no £150 after 66 days. What should I do?
If you're sure you've met all the other terms, complain (e.g. write them a letter and enclose the relevant terms and conditions for their reference, detailing and exemplifying that you've met all the terms and and post it to their customer experience and complaints address; if they verify that you have they'll pay the £150).0 -

If it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same situation (my transfer date was 17/3 on the old conditions, which I met, but still no £150). Based on the comments in this thread, I was expecting payment after 35 days. I contacted Clydesdale when that didn't happen and (after several dead ends) managed to speak to someone who checked my account and told me that I would definitely receive the money but that it would take up to 70 days because my switch date overlapped with applications under the newer conditions (which stated 70 rather than 60 days). So I'm now waiting until 70 days is up, and hoping that the money will be in by that time. If not I will certainly pursue it with Clydesdale.
Btw, my payment in was a full £1000, but there was no stipulation I'm aware of that it needed to be a single payment though so I think you'll be fine.0 -

If the offer was 60 days when you took it up, then 60 days is what it should be. You can't move the goalposts midway through the deal. You should make a formal complaint here:
Thanks Steve, I know that you're right, but I'm happy to wait a few extra days considering it's a free £150. If nothing materialises after 70 days I'll be complaining about not getting the money at all, rather than how long it took. I'll be glad when all this is done really, it almost isn't worth the hassle for the money. Almost.0 -
Thanks for the PDF link! The one on the 1st page said a single payment which got me worried.
I was going to teIl Clydesdale I didn't get the full terms so their fault but now I'm sure I've done it all. And have evidence of the terms to show them.0 -

I've just opened one of these accounts and it's gone ok as far as I know, except for the palaver involved in getting me online. That took about four phone calls to sort out the 'activation code' in order to allow access. Then after that was sorted I encountered this think called 'token' and that's needed in order to get money out of the account. I imagine a token as being like a small brass coin, quaint as I am, but this "token" is a device like a calculator and it's arrived today. So I guess I'll need to savvy up on that too!0 -

I'll do the same. Not much hassle yet except the security token, so fingers crossed for everyone.0
