I wouldn't suggest anyone should try and outsmart YB over this mess. They'll correct it before long so it's best not to touch the accounts.

If you are impatient, you can always pick up the phone to them and ask for help.

Is this affecting any specific types of accounts?

I transferred a sum exceeding £1K into my YB current account direct this morning – and only received the one amount.

Am feeling a bit left out………………..!:D

mine came from Santander, I think maybe it is their problem rather than Yorkshire.

Double money still in YB accounts. Its of no use to me, I cant do anything with it can I???

My transfer was from Santander, just £500, and no magic doubling of money for me.

"A £11m one-off spend was made to help attract customers to current accounts and tax-free individual savings accounts."

Wow that's a lot! I should have tried for more than 15 accounts...

    So should I - my 2 x £150 seems rather tiny now.

That £11 million would have paid for a lot more than just the incentives of course - but, if we pretend, just for a moment, that it was all for incentives, it equals over 73,000 of them!

But of course it must cover other things too, like promo and staff costs.

Another cost that this £11m may cover is their business account promo - offering 2 years free banking to start-ups or 18 months free banking to switchers.

That business promo seems to be seriously understaffed, just like the personal accounts switching. We've been trying to switch a small business account to YB now for over 3 months - and still haven't even got the new account open, let alone switched. They say they're overwhelmed with applications. But how hard can it be to open an account - they've had all the info for ages!?

Maybe they should have spent a little more than £11 million and avoided the frustration many of us have had. I've already switched away on one personal account.

I instantly thought about YorkshireBoy & you when I read that article this morning :p

Being a moderate sort, I only went for £300 and am actually using the Direct as a current account  How quaint :rotfl:

To follow on from my earlier query as to why my £150 hadn't been paid yet ...they said that the £1000 I'd transferred as part of the switch was fine but that the reason I hadn't received the £150 incentive was because I hadn't transferred two direct debits. My T&Cs were definitely the older ones...Clydesdale are now looking into this and hopefully sorting it out soon.

Have you heard back from them on this yet?

I have just checked my account (not been able to for a while) and I have still not been paid on any of my accounts and I suspect they are going to say the same as they did to you about it when I contact them later today.

I signed the forms on 27/02/2015 so should have also been under the previous T&C's, switched on 13/03/2015 and transferred the £1,000 on 19/03/2015 so all T&C's should have been met - frustrating to have to go chasing them!

Edit: Having spoken to them earlier today they just said that it can take up to to 70 days under the current terms so they suspect a similar time frame for the previous terms, I said from memory I think it stated a maximum of 60 days. So they said just to keep an eye on it and if it hasn't been processed by 60 days to give them a call back.

They didn't seem to clued up about it and seemed not to fussed about it all but I guess they did state 60 days (from memory) so I guess by rights I just need to wait 60 days. Just seems odd that I haven't been paid yet others pretty much all have.

I haven't had mine yet either - I'm on old T&Cs and switched on 17th March. In answer to your question, I finally managed to speak to someone after several emails and phone calls who assured me that I'd met the criteria and would be paid the £150 but that it can take up to 60 days. I'm about 50 days into that now. I'm still a bit worried that something has gone wrong because others have been paid a while ago, but maybe there are other factors (eg where you chose as your 'local' bank - I'm in Bristol so I picked a random one north of the border) which affect how long it takes. I'll report back as and when I get my payout...
