Just noticed that as well as the Quidco offer ending today at midnight the TCB £35 cashback for Nationwide switches is also ending today as well.

Seems that far from ending the Quidco offer is still available at £80 - and TCB is now offering £80 cashback again (up from £35) for NW switches.

YB system seems to have gone mad this morning. I made a faster payment of £1K from another bank to my YB account, and the £1K was duly debited from my other account. Much to my surprise, YB said it received 2 x £1K.

When I went back to my other to check whether I had somehow sent the £1K twice, I found that YB had returned £1K.

Back to YB - it still shows 2 x £1K have come in, and nothing went out.

So I am presently up £2,000. That's excellent for 30 seconds work. I suppose somebody will spot the mess sooner or later.

TCB showing £88 cashback for Nationwide, Co-op also increased to £44 next to its unending Ends....!

Thinking about it I guess that's the rate for those with full membership.

Yes – that’s the plus membership rate which I also have.

Given it costs £5 a year and you get around £8.50 more in cashback just for the Nationwide switch offer (£88 vs £79.50 without) it makes sense to sign up for the plus membership – then you get extra cashback on everything else during the year. With the co-operative you also get £1.60 more on plus.

I do think it’s a bit sneaky though – the TCB site said these NW offers were ending yesterday (presumably encouraging last minute applications) and they come back today paying over £50 more!

Just tested this by sending £10k. My YB account is showing a balance of £20k and the account I sent it from is showing £10k returned. What's going on?

I expect some corrections to appear sometime soon.

I think that sometimes if you send monies to a new payee that it will often bounce back. This is particularly so with Santander, in my experience. I don't know quite what would happen if you were to immediately remove it from the destination account.

You'll go overdrawn when it's corrected and be charged...
