Yes, borne out by several reports in this very thread (although I appreciate with so many posts you won't want to look).
It can be just me, but I don't see anything in the T&C clearly saying this.
Correct, but as I said above, version 1 specifically excluded such funding for incentive purposes, whereas version 2 didn't.

There was definitely something in the t&cs or the website for February applications confirming that the £1000 could be switched. I read it, did it and received the £150. Twice.

It wasn't in the T&Cs, it was in the advertising blurb...indeed, it could be termed 'pre-contractual information', the same as is given for credit card applications.

As Yorkshire Boy said in a post above, it's the fact that the original set of terms ruled out balances transferred as part of a switch for the £1k pay-in requirement whereas the latter sets didn't/don't. The reason I said that balances transferred as part of a switch definitely count as (a) I received an incentive this way; and (b) the marketing blurb specifically said that balances transferred with the switch count.
  • To follow on from my earlier query as to why my £150 hadn't been paid yet and if this was to do with the £1000 being part of the switch or if a separate payment was needed: I contacted customer services just to check if I'd fulfilled the obligation or not, and they said that the £1000 I'd transferred as part of the switch was fine but that the reason I hadn't received the £150 incentive was because I hadn't transferred two direct debits. My T&Cs were definitely the older ones which didn't require 2 direct debits (I signed the agreement at the end of Feb, before the new terms were even released), and Clydesdale are now looking into this and hopefully sorting it out soon. Thanks for all the input from everyone though, I'll be glad when this is sorted one way or the other!

    Hello!
Waiting to be switched from a halifax.
The halifax has two DDs setup, and £500 in it.
Should i make sure there is £1000 before the switch date or make sure there is £0 on the switch date then make a transfer to clydesdale?
I know I'm sure the answer is in one of the 100 previous pages... :D

Also, how are people making more than one switch? I thought the T&Cs say you can't have an incentive if you have already had one from either york or clydesdale.

    Thank you :T

The latest offer says that. If you'd got to the party early, the one that ran until end of Feb didn't say that ;).

Still thinking what to do with 10 yb accounts...I have no need for them. I don't think there's any good reason to keep them open...

I switched all mine into Nationwide. Bet they wondered what had hit them.
