Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

That's one bank I'm not with. Was there any incentive to move there?
Thank you.
Not one I hadn't already had.
There's the refer a friend offer where someone can refer you as a friend to switch to Nationwide and then £50 gets paid into each person's account (the referrer and the switcher). You'll need 2 direct debits set up on one of your Yorkshire Bank accounts to switch into Nationwide with.
The referrer has to be an existing Nationwide customer and needs to fill in this online form with their and your details: https://portal.nationet.com/nationwide/appforms/recommendafriend/default.aspx
I'd happily refer you if you wanted (you'd just need to PM me the 4 details needed for your part of the form).
There's also £80 cashback if you apply for the Nationwide account through Quidco.0 -
Thank you Ed that sounds good...I will pm you in the coming week. :beer:0

which a/c is this Ed. I switched one though Quidco, to a Flexdirect, but got nothing from Quidco as I "didn't qualify under the term"
(never did find out why.
Each new NW(Flexdirect/Flexaccount a/c) a/c - £80 Quidco - no ddms needed, is that what you are saying ?
I too have 9 CB/YB a/cs of no real use
Which NW 'form' is this ? In branch, or online0 -

The 2 direct debits are needed for the refer a friend offer, not the Quidco cashback.
I'm not saying I switched all YB accounts to NW through Quidco, no. I just switched them into the same Nationwide account I already had for no incentives as to get the Quidco cashback you need to open a new Nationwide account each time (and you're only allowed 4 Nationwide current account anyhow so I didn't bother opening any more new accounts up). Also:
Cashback will only be paid out after the customer has held onto the account for at least three full months (in the case of the FlexAccount).
By the way, Nationwide don't always pay up on the Quidco cashback (last year they said I didn't meet the terms when I did and they didn't budge on a missing cashback claim either).0 -

I have a Flexdirect and a Flexaccount, so I can only open 2 more flexaccounts - yes ?
I did the Flexaccount through Quidco and have diaried fro 3 mths - will see...0 -

Yes if they accept you, but in my experience with Nationwide, if the decision is a 'we will need to make some further checks before we can open your account' the cashback won't track and invariably they don't pay up through a missing cashback claim (they could argue the terms say the account needs to be opened immediately and completed fully online, which needs an upfront 'approve' decision for the account).
But I've had a couple in the past where they have declined the cashback when I'd clearly met all the terms and the cashback did track as the account was approved instantly (like it seems happened with your FlexDirect).0 -
Quidco offer ends in 3 days.

.
Just a quick question.
If they have paid out/are paying out on a topcashback £80 offer (now £35) – presumably they will still pay out if you open/switch another account via Quidco. Has anyone got both?
I gather you can have 4 sole current accounts with NW – with as many flexaccounts as you want?0 -

My T&Cs were definitely the older ones which didn't require 2 direct debits (I signed the agreement at the end of Feb, before the new terms were even released), and Clydesdale are now looking into this and hopefully sorting it out soon. Thanks for all the input from everyone though, I'll be glad when this is sorted one way or the other!
Thanks for that info. I am still to be paid on any of my 3 as well. They were switched on 13/03/2015 and I credited the £1000 on 19/03/2015.
I got my forms signed and dated on the last day of the old offer so should be paid but haven't and it seems I should have by now given what others have said.
Think I will chase them up in the morning if I get chance.0
