Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

What to do with these extra YB current accounts once the switch incentive is paid?
I'm keeping the Direct one but the bog standard ones aren't worth keeping as far as I can see??
Already sampled Halifax, First Direct and M&S so {other than Coop} I don't have anywhere to transfer them out to for an incentive. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Then do the same with another.
Rinse and repeat!
Hiya,
just wondering what the Nationwide RAF is?
Also we have a old nationwide joint a/c looking for somewhere to switch it to - did think about switching to our existing Halifax but as we both have separate Halifax rewards accounts makes more sense to do separate switches.Typically confused and asking for advice0 -

Vixen - switch it to a joint Clydesdale/Yorkshire if you havent already got loads - assuming they do extend the offer until end March as discussed earlier in the thread........0

The owner of YB/CB National Australia Bank made a profit in the last quarter of 2014 of nearly £1 billion - yes £1 billion in a single quarter. You think they make that sort of money by being nicey nicey and high minded and letting people off their debts/mortgages if they can't pay them. They are also seeking to sell off YB/CB - and increasing the number of current account holders will no doubt assist in marketing those two banks for the sell off when it comes.
Are you seriously asking people to feel guilty over taking a few meagre £150s from a bank which makes billions in profits annually? They are banks - not cancer charities - and this offer was intended no doubt to improve the marketability of YB/CB for a sale.0 -

Its explained here - your friend once recommended needs to switch an account with at least two direct debits - and you both get £50 although this can be recovered if the friend leaves NW within 3 months

Alternatively check out the banking offers on the cashback sites.0 -
YB/CB are not stupid. They wanted people to sign up to multiple accounts otherwise they would have limited the offer to one per customer.
They want to over inflate their number of account holders to make them seem like a successful bank to improve their marketability.0 -

I would say they are rather stupid if they expect potential buyers not to see straight through this cunning plan.0
